Programs: St. Joseph's physician health, p. C. Is comprised of physicians and clinical affiliates that serve as the hospitalists at st. Joseph's hospital health center. Hospitalists are residency-trained, board-certified physicians who specialize in taking care of sick patients in the hospital. During their stay, each patient is assigned a hospitalist who performs evaluations, treatments, and consultations, while keeping in close contact with the patient's primary care physician. Because these trained physicians focus only on patients needing care within st. Joseph's hospital health center, they are experts in treating complex medical problems that are seen regularly in hospitalized patients.
