An incredible group dedicated to documenting each racehorse killed for entertainment by the race industry. They have great integrity and knowledge of their field. I recommend anyone to visit this group to learn the facts about the dark side of horse racing.
I learned the hard way about what goes on behind the scenes with horses and the way they are used and abused.I knew two different people who adopted and kept racehorses to save them from a terrible fate. I wasn't aware of all the horror stories about horse racing.because of you all ,I have learned. Not such a pleasant lesson but a necessary one.
Horseracing Wrongs is a small but mighty nonprofit totally dedicated to a David and Goliath struggle. And we all know who won that fight!! Nicole and Patrick have pitted themselves up against the very powerful horse racing industry. They tirelessly raise awareness about what goes on behind the glitzy curtain covering up the cruel exploitation of innocent animals that is horse racing. They use published facts from state statistics. Where big money is involved, corruption and exploitation often follow. Race horses are treated as commodities; they are routinely drugged, forced to race too young, confined to small, isolating spaces, and so many die at very young ages! Horseracing Wrongs is exposing truths that society needs to come to terms with, just as we have with many injustices such as slavery, child labor and women’s rights. Eventually, because of the perseverance of this wonderfully dedicated group, the scales will tip and horse racing will come to an end; just as greyhound racing finally is coming to a halt in this country. That’s why I’m proud to be a donating member of Horseracing Wrongs.
I’ve participated in Horseracing Wrongs’ actions for several years and stand by them 100 percent. Patrick is up on every happening concerning horse racing and the injuries and deaths of the horses when they occur. He and Nicole are phenomenal spokespersons, which comes from their heartfelt passion. They are working hard to end the cruelty of horse racing and I believe it will end in our lifetime.
Horseracing Wrongs works to expose the abject barbarity of the horse racing industry. They bring to light the exploitation, cruelty and maltreatment of the horses held captive by that industry. Horseracing Wrongs is dedicated to making a difference for horses through action and awareness. They are an outstanding nonprofit organization.
Horseracing Wrongs (HW) is doing hard work to make real change for horses forced to race, which is a cruel sport. I donate to HW when I can because nobody else is advocating race horses the way they do. It takes grit and tenacity to go up against an entire industry and HW has what it takes. They are ethical, serious activists who don't rely on gimmicks and lies. They use facts to do the work of educating the public. I have so much respect for HW leadership and members.
Horseracing Wrongs is one of my favorite nonprofits. They are extremely dedicated and give a voice to horses that are exploited and used for profit via abuse and for entertainment. Highly recommend if you care about animals/horses and their forced plight.
The most dedicated proactive people trying to end the biggest abuse against the group the largest of animals in the country being passed off as “sport.” They keep accurate reports on all horse racing deaths and share this with the news, politicians, and the general public. They present a professional front at all race events they can to inform the public. I am proud to be following them and do and donating to their efforts.
This group has constantly been amazing in all they do. They educate the public about all the abuses in the horseracing industry. They are factual & some have witnessed incidents first-hand. The strides they have made to publicize the horseracing atrocities has opened the minds to countless people who thought this industry took top notch care of the horses. The truth comes out all the time about how that is not the case. They all work tirelessly to help horses everywhere.
The health and welfare of race horses has been a passion of theirs for all the years I've known them. Nicole and Pat have brought so much awareness to the wreckless abuse of these beautiful creatures, and are 2 of the the most dedicated and compassionate people I know. I am fortunate to be able to call them my friends.
Patrick and Nicole have brought all the atrocities - most little known and hidden - of the industry known as Horseracing, to the attention of the public. Through Freedom of Information Act requests and media- the hidden hell that is Horseracing has been laid bare. Smaller tracks are closing down one by one. Eventually closures will reach the big venues and horses will not be tortured for human entertainment any more.
I am forever grateful to Horseracing Wrongs for bringing to light the absolute horrors of this blood sport. Their unwavering devotion and dedication to these suffering and dying horses and to expose this cruel industry is their greatest achievement so far. I know they will help to END horseracing in the very near future!
Horseracing Wrongs is an incredible organization!! Everyone involved is so passionate about fighting for the horses and ultimately ending horse racing. I have attended many leafletting demos & protests and I am so proud to be a part of their mission.
I joined Horseracing Wrongs a few years ago. Shortly there after, I became the Maryland Organizer. In July of 2022, I joined the board! I can't think of a better organization to be a part of. Patrick Battuello & Nicole Arciello work 24/7 for the cause and I have so much admiration and respect for them both. I have included a picture from the Preakness Protest we had this summer in Maryland.
Pat and Nicole are angels among us. Educated, compassionate and tireless in their quest to educate the world about horse racing and all the horrible things that go with it. I stand proudly with them and hope they make a lasting change to the racing industry and end the suffering, abuse and untimely deaths for race horses.
Horseracing Wrongs is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the use of these intelligent, social and majestic creatures for $2 bets. They organize peaceful protests to help betting customers understand the true devastating nature of horse racing. It’s inspirational to see the leaders of this organization give their unwavering support to give horses a voice in an effort to end the loneliness, pain, suffering and untimely death, occurring right on the race track, of these magnificent animals.
What an amazing organization that I’ve had the great pleasure of working with! They bring so much awareness to the horrors of horseracing which had not previously been made known to the general population. I’m confident that together we will ultimately end horseracing!!! ✊
Horseracing wrongs is an outstanding organization working to shed light on a dark and disgusting industry. Seeing a need to speak up for animals where. I one else would, they are heavily rooted in community and so welcoming to new members and advocates! Not only giving a voice to the horses they’re also wonderful at helping people find their voice and use it.
Horseracing Wrongs is truly amazing. In the last five years, they have been the only nonprofit organization to bring to the forefront the ugly truth about the horseracing industry. While other organizations aim towards better treatment for race horses, Horseracing Wrongs focuses on the innate cruelty of the industry and advocates for abolition of this cruel sport. The vast amount of information on their website is astounding and heartbreaking - information about the number of horses dying each year at tracks around the country, drugging, beating, euthanizing, massive and often deadly injuries they sustain while racing, their solitary confinement for hours each day, and ultimately the sale of many thoroughbreds at a young age to companies that slaughter them and sell them for food overseas. All for a chance to bet on their lives. The protests that they have held at tracks around the country and the media attention they have gained have served to enlighten many people who otherwise would not have known the horrors faced by these intelligent sentient beings.
Horseracing Wrongs is the only organization in the US dedicated to ending the cruelty of Horse Racing. They expose the truth with up to date accurate statics, raise awareness and educate the public on the brutality and cruelty these horses are forced to endure in the racing industry!! I am honored to be part of this amazing group!
Highly effective anti-racing organization

One of the best orgs in the country for raising awareness of the cruelties of horse racing HANDS DOWN!!
They are telling the truth and exposing the wrongs involved with horse racing, and are currently the only ones who do so
I was a fan of horseracing then I worked on the backside with a racehorse rescue for nearly 10 years & learned the TRUTHS about this gambling industry. Now I speak FOR the horses and expose the realities. TY HW!
I used to be a horse racing fan but have learned the realities about horse racing. Now I support the horses and not the industry
Horseracing Wrongs exposes truths and horrors about the horse racing industry and treatment of the horses that other non-profits do not reveal. I am thankful to have learned about this great non-profit.
Horseracing Wrongs is the go source for learning about the dark reality of horseracing. Up to date and accurate statistics and information shed light on the horrors within the industry. Horseracing Wrong is educating more and more people about the brutality of horseracing and helping to raise awareness that the industry is not an innocuous pastime for big hats and big betting. Thank you to HW!
Fact: 2,000 plus horses die on the track in the United States every year. Upwards of 15 to 30,000 are sent to slaughterhouses annually, from the race track! I want to recommend Horseracing Wrongs Inc because of how they have exposed the hidden horrors of the horse racing industry to me and to other This is an organization based on compassion - and outrage - for the suffering of horses in the US racing industry. Many members of this organization have owned or rescued former race horses. They know what they are talking about. They exposed to me the carefully hidden truths, the heartbreaking suffering and the outright deciept. The way horses are anything but loved, are killed and replaced, killed and replaced, all for the Almighty Dollar, by their owners. The lies by the race horse owners and trainers. The daily, yes, daily, abuse. The deaths of 2 and 3 year old horses on an almost daily basis, in addition to horses in their early years. Without this organization I would have never known, nor would others, about the details of the suffering of these innocent and sensitive animals. It just so happens that I grew up within walking distance of the training track of the Belmont racetrack. I didn't know that many died on the track every year and others were cruelly sent to the hell of a Mexican slaughterhouse. Photographs, statistics and proven evidence are the hallmarks of this organization. The owners and trainers know that only the painstakingly accurate evidence based facts are published.
This is the only non-profit organization in the United States exclusively founded to show, without question, the necessity to completely ban a barbaric, loveless and abusive industry. It is not a sport. Reforms do not save lives. It is animal abuse, I now know.
I hope that one day Horseracing Wrongs Inc. succeeds and that they get a major animal rights award. They sure deserve it
HR Wrongs is emminently dedicated to ending horseracing. Patrick and Nicole and their fellow volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that the information they disseminate is both accurate and timely. I have known and worked with them for about 4+ years, and have never seen people so committed to a (worthier) cause. They write daily articles, manage and attend protests, comunicate with the media, etc. They are not afraid to speak the truth, regardless of the pushback they get from the horseracing community, who wants to continue to fool the public about what really goes on in this so called 'sport'. If anyone can get horseracing outlawed, it's HR Wrongs. Proud to know and support them.
Horseracing Wrongs is the only nonprofit organization in the USA dedicated to ending the use of horses as disposable gambling objects. Their information is based on FOIA and other public documents and they have been tremendously successful in informing the public about the abuse, cruelty and death suffered by every horse bred to slavery by this unnecessary gambling industry. I have attended their protests at Saratoga Racetrack and know how their unrelenting perseverance has grown in a few short years to include TV appearances, legislative testimony, billboards, events and the use of social media to be the only voice of these pitiful racehorses bred to race and die which can only be accomplished by ending all horseracing which is no different than dog racing or bullfighting. Bravo to Horseracing Wrongs! You put all other supposedly humane organizations to shame!
I am a team member of Horseracing Wrongs. I organize protests in Delaware at the Delaware Park Racetrack. The Horseracing Wrongs team is amazing, full of passionate and dedicated people. So much has been done to help horses who are exploited and abused due to the racing industry and a lot of attention has been brought to this cruel industry. I am forever proud to be a part of the Horseracing Wrongs family!
Horseracing Wrongs is a long overdue wealth of information and up to date fact filled Organization committed to ending the horrific, ongoing, daily abuse, mismanagement and blatant corruption within the despicable racing industry. This industry is simply about profitability and these magnificent animals are exploited beginning with the overbreeding where throw-a-ways are no more viewed than useless garbage. It's criminal actually and high percentages of foals absolutely end up in the illegal slaughter pipeline. Horse Dealers have been around for ages, better known now as Kill Buyers. The assault begins with overbreeding, but certainly continues for the life of these intelligent, family oriented horses. Once they begin training at far too young an age , as yearlings, these physically immature bodies are pushed beyond their capabilities, forced to carry the weight of Tack n Rider on undeveloped spines, knees, and legs while being whipped ( crop). I'm a lifelong horsewomen nearing sixty years old. My father was an accomplished horseman in his own right. I grew up amongst Trainers, Breeders, Owners, I speak from experience. I have rescued OTTB'S and continue to. People like myself cannot fathom an industry so blatantly focused on degenerate gambling of $2 dollar Bets, cheap thrills and lies. Retire these horses. Allow the rescues to rehab, rehome and retire the inventory of lives still living their nightmare. Stop the insanity and cruelty! I'm a proud New Yorker who cried tears of joy when NYC Council banned animals for entertainment. A society that allows the abuse willingly and willfully because they turn a blind eye is not a society I want to be associated with. The shift is changing. Hat's off to. Horseracing Wrongs for utilizing the FOIA,and working tirelessly to expose the wrongs of this despicable industry. I have , do now and will continue the efforts of Horseracing Wrongs as I stand proudly in solidarity to shut racing down.
You BET---They DIE
Sincerely
Elizabeth (Sunny) Pandolfelli
Horseracing Wrongs is an amazing hardworking non-profit committed to eradicating horseracing in the United States. They are the only organization in the country that is clearly and consistently working toward that end. They state facts & information to educate the public about the cruelty behind horseracing!
#justiceforthehundred Animal Advocacy Group stands with Horseracing Wrongs and their mission to end horseracing. The abuse these horses endure for a 2 dollar bet is horrific. Let Horseracing Wrongs educate you on the "behind the scenes" look at the horseracing Industry.
Racehorses are broke to run (full out) at a very young age (their bones are not fully formed) at the hand of a whip, confined 23 hrs a day in a stall, drugged and when their racing career is over - loaded on a truck headed to the slaughter house.
It is not a lush green pasture for these horses.
Do not believe the lies that the Horseracing Industry wants you to believe!!!
