Rating: 5

This is the only wildlife hospital in the Piedmont area of NC that is open to the public to take injured and orphaned wildlife. TWRC is funded almost entirely by donations and is staffed by volunteers with the exception of one full-time clinic manager who is paid.

In 2010, TWRC accepted over 1500 animals for treatment.
