Awful experience. If we knew you'd need to see our bedrooms and disturb privacy for no reason we'd never have engaged with you.
And what is even worse you never contacted us back about the adoption.

Awful and irresponsible organization.

We had been looking for a few months for a dog and had been following CRT. They had so many incredible stories and successes that I watched nearly daily for the dog that touched my heart. When Pretty (now Honey) and Polar Bear (now Pearl) became available, my husband and I were excited to meet them. CRT made arrangements to meet with the fosters as the dogs had been separated. The moment we saw the dogs and saw the joyfulness and love they had to share, we both knew they were the ones for us. We did not want to separate the girls so they both came home with us for a week trial adoption. That very first night I told CRT to cash the check! These girls were ours!

CRT's processes are well defined and easily understandable. The fosters took us through every step of the process. They sent us home with all the things we needed to get us started with our new girls. They were also great about following up to see how things were going.

Diana (CRT) was amazing and helped us along the way. She ensured we knew the background as it was known and was so supportive in the entire adoption process. We feel she went out of her way to help make this a success. She is just a wonderful person and someone I like to now call friend.

CRT does the right thing. I trust and respect this organization, its leadership and have already made referrals to friends. If you are considering adopting, please give CRT a chance to find your next love.

We volunteer for CRT and I am the Flight Coordinator. I have never met a more wonderful group of people. They are all truly there for the dogs in need. No political agenda, no back stabbing and no being mean. They are true hard working volunteers who care about the dogs in need.!!!!

Pictured below in senior hospice gal Molly Frances. CRT was not going to turn their backs on this angel in need. She is with us Di and Joe. We will be her hospice parents forever.

Young Phillip was found on the streets in NC as a stray. He was scared, malnourished and was not doing well in the shelter. CRT saved him and now he is on his way to his new life with CRT.

The volunteers of CRT are TRULY the BEST!

CRT does so many great things, caring for puppies thru seniors-very seniors, CRT Transports throughout the United States, and CRT has a HEART, they care.

Our sweet dog Raine crossed the rainbow bridge last year. We agreed to wait one year before we started to look for another one. I started following rescues on Facebook and came across CRT DFW rescue. We filled out an application to foster, had a home visit, then got our first foster, Remi. Well, we adopted him - foster failures - but that's ok because we love him!! Diana Hightower has been our point of contact and we love her personality. She is always a pleasure to talk to. If you are looking to adopt a Chihuahua, I highly recommend contacting this organization.

CRT is a great rescue! They responded to my inquiries promptly and helped me find my sweet little girl Midge.
Midge is 3 years old and a delight. She was well cared for in her foster home and worked with on basic obedience.
Midge makes me smile and laugh everyday
I am so glad I adopted her and a giant thank you to CRT!

What a pleasant wonderful experience it was adopting our puppy, Sweetpea from CRT in Plano, Texas. We renamed her Sophie. Diana recommended her and we went to an event to meet her. A few days later Karen brought Sophie to our house. She fit right in bonding and playing with our 4yr old chihuahua. No seperation anxiety. The big surprise is Sophie is house broken and goes to the door to let us know she wants to go outside, and she also uses the potty pad in our house. Very smart & quickly learned our routine. Cuddly & loving, very fulfilling for us.

We didn't go to any other dog adoption organizations nor did we look at any other dogs. When Diana first showed us Sweetpea, we knew she was the one. I don't think we could of found a more loving precious dog if we looked around.

Diana and Karen are a pleasant delight to have met.

When we lost our senior dogs last year, we weren’t sure we would get another dog. But soon enough our hearts were ready. We knew we wanted to rescue and we hoped to get a chihuahua. We checked our local shelters for a few months then found CRT.

They really love these dogs and have a heart for finding each one the best possible home. The adoption/vetting process is thorough—as it should be! We filled out an application and waited to be matched to a dog.

When we saw Marshall (Gary at the time), we all fell in love and knew he would be perfect for our family. We have had him for several weeks now, and truly I don’t know what we ever did without him. He comes everywhere with us. Our four teenage boys give him so much love and attention.

We could not be more thankful for this organization.

We fostered to adopt a chihuahua that was in a lot of pain due to stage 4 luxating patella JM both knees snd this wonderful organization did everything they possibly could to make her life better by making sure she had all the necessary medical care she needed to improve her life. In between her two surgeries we found out she had Addison’s disease. She went into crisis and almost died but once again they were there for her and us. She is now living a happy life with pins in her knees and daily meds and a monthly shot. Highly recommend they truly care for these little babies and provide support. She is a wonderful happy girl.

this is the most wonderful organization for little chi and chimixRescue’s. CRT make sure that every little fur baby is placed in the Wright home. They work with you to make sure you have the best experience with bringing your fur baby home and making it thrive. They’re always there if you need them after your fur baby comes home. I have adopted two and both came from bad situations and because of CRT they have turned into the sweetest little fur babies you could ever ask for. If you’re looking for a little chi or chi-mx there’s no better place to search than crt.

I have volunteered with Chihuahua Rescue & Transport for years. This is an all volunteer rescue organization. No one gets paid. Funds go towards the care of the dogs. Their volunteers are the most dedicated people on Earth.
CRT saves so many dogs that are “Rescue Only”. Those dogs are usually injured and or ill. CRT is their last hope. They also save countless strays, owner surrendered, and abandoned small dogs as well. They completely vet these dogs to their maximum health potential at great expense. Then CRT goes the extra mile to make sure the dogs get the best, appropriate forever homes possible so they can live out their lives loved, comfortable, and safe.

If I could give Chihuahua Rescue & Transport Inc a zero, I would. They are awful and NOT honest. I met with a representative IN MY HOME. She said she would let CR&T know that she would recommend my approval to adopt Franky the chihuahua. Then I never heard back from her or the foster mom. When I called them, both numbers repeatedly went to voice mail. I emailed Cr&T and the Southeastern Coordinator
Board Member, Treasurer was rude without cause. I still have the email traffic if you need to see it. They never told me why I was eventually rejected. My home was clean, the visitor even complimented my home. I live in a gated community. It makes me wonder what kind of passive aggressive business is this. I have names and numbers if you need them.

I adopted my second CRT rescue dog this past January. My first CRT rescue came home in 2009 and was the love of my life till he crossed the bridge at 20yrs old. CRT is outstanding. Many of the dogs they take into rescue are seniors or are hard to place for various reasons. They advocate for many dogs that other rescue groups may shy away from. My adoption experiences were both wonderful, timely, and seamless. CRT is a great group of people, and I’m very grateful that they gave me the privilege of adopting both my boys, past and present.

Chihuahua Rescue & Transport helps unite Chihuahua's with their forever homes, as one of the most euthanized breeds of dogs in shelters it's of the upmost importance to give these dogs the very best chance to not only survive but thrive. We have adopted several Chihuahuas through CRT Daphne was our first, she was rescued after Hurricane Harvey and one of 50 Chihuahuas saved from euthanasia, after not being reclaimed post hurricane. Daphne spent the rest of her time in the lap of luxury and she crossed the rainbow bridge last Christmas, but she brought us such love and happiness for nearly 6 years.

My husband and I had such a great experience adopting with CRT. So much so that we went back for round 2! We have two chihuahuas adopted from CRT and the process could not have been smoother. The fosters and the leadership at CRT made the application process and the trial adoption period so smooth and easy.

They really get to know the dogs they are rescuing so that they can better match them with families. Plus they take fantastic care of the dogs while under their care - full checkups, spay/neutering if needed, vaccinations, surgeries if needed, socialization when possible, and in some cases, basic potty, leash, or other training as possible, and of course lots of good food and treats. CRT will be very upfront about the dog's personality, mastery of inside-dog skills, and habits which I really appreciate.

After losing one of two chihuahua siblings to chronic kidney disease, we were concerned about the remaining brother. After 10 years, the two dogs had never been apart. I knew a lady who fosters chihuahuas, and she put me in touch with Diana at CRT. Diana called me, and we had several lengthy conversations discussing what we were looking for and the dogs that were available.

After several weeks, Kim, a foster mom, came to our house to introduce us to Oliver, a 11-year-old male. We were so concerned that our remaining chihuahua, Wilson, would not take to him. To our surprise and delight, Wilson and Oliver got on well at their first meeting. Before the end of the trial week, the two of them were sharing a food bowl and racing each other to greet my husband. Oliver has settled in with us as his new forever home, and we couldn't ask for a better fit.

The folks at CRT were knowledgeable, responsive, and patient. They provided us with all of Oliver's previous vet records and checked on both us and him several times after the trial week to ensure everything was going well. Their foster parents give the adopting families the most thorough information they can. If you're looking for a chihuahua to adopt, CRT has the right one for you!

Their adoption fee doesn't even begin to cover the vet bills, and yet thru fundraisers, donations, etc. they spare no expense for medical treatments these precious ones deserve and receive from them. God bless them one and all. I have fostered many and adopted 3 from them.

Chihuahua Rescue & Transport (CRT) has a HUGE heart to help dogs in need. When Lulu was rescued from roaming the streets of Dallas, CRT’s vet discovered she had heartworms. That is very serious but CRT did not shy away and began the long term treatment as well as helping her trust humans again.

Then it was discovered Lulu was pregnant! After she gave birth to 3 adorable little girls, CRT continued her care…..then it was discovered she had some serious eye problems. Again, CRT didn’t hesitate to help this sweet girl and got her to an eye specialist.

Lulu is now receiving continual care from the eye specialist, she’s heartworm free and loving her new life with her human. She’s playful, super happy and loving her furever home. Thank you CRT.

They also aid in times of hurricanes and disasters by suppling fosters, food, transportation and vet care. Couldn't ask for a better group to recognize!

Last August, we adopted Faith, a little Chi/Terrier mix from Chihuahua Rescue and Transport. She's a special needs fur baby. She came from a hoarding situation and was found to be paralyzed from the waist down. Our adoption from CRT was very rewarding and we are so happy that we were able to bring little Faith home. Since last August, Faith has made remarkable progress with her ability to stand on her 4 legs, even for just a few seconds. She is also moving her legs more, and through constant physical therapy and treatment, we feel confident she will be able to walk again! CRT has been extremely supportive and encouraging through our process in rehabilitating Faith. It is not just an adoption, you are welcomed to their family and it helps a lot knowing you have their back! I strongly encourage people to adopt these beautiful souls and welcome them into their homes and members of the family. This group will not disappoint at all! Thank you Diana Hightower for giving us the opportunity to love and care for little Faith!

I can’t speak highly enough about the wonderful work these folks at CRT do. They are amazing - I’ve adopted 2 fur babies from CRT in the DFW area. The volunteers and fosters are invested in making sure the surrendered babies are well taken care of and do lots of fundraising, and meet-and-greets with the dogs!

There is a thorough vetting process before the babies are put up for adoption and once potential adopters come along, yet another thorough meet up with those families to meet the dog.

I’m always eager to share their social media posts with others who may be looking to adopt. I trust this organization to always look out for their littles and make sure they’re going to the right home.

Our littles are the most precious babies!

After losing our sweet senior chihuahua earlier in the year, we contacted Chihuahua Rescue & Transport in Dallas to let them know we wanted to start searching for a new member of our family. Diana called me right away and talked to me at length to understand what our home was like and what type of dog we were looking for. She told me about a young female who had been surrendered recently. It was the week before Christmas and she called all my references and worked so hard to make everything happen so that we could have our trial period over the holidays. She came and checked out our yard and our home make sure it was safe for this small girl. Her name then was Penelope and she was the most perfect pup we could ever have hoped for. Today, she answers to Zoey or Zoe Zoe or Sweet Girl and we cannot imagine our lives without her! Diana knew exactly what we needed and I cannot thank Chihuahua Rescue & Transport and Diana enough for matching Zoey in her forever home!

I was looking for a sweet girl to adopt but found it was more expensive than I could afford, so I donated what I could. The person I was in contact with told me I qualified for a 'box of gifts,' but I would have to pay for the shipping. I'd already given what I could, so please don't send the box. She (Anna?) said they couldn't do that, that I needed to take the box. There was much back and forth in texts, and I finally asked for my money back. In trying to do that I ended up sending a total of $965. I can't even get that back without buying a $60 gift card. What is going on here? I like to donate to a worthy cause, but this is ridiculous.
I'm sorry, but I can not recommend this Charity.

I filled out an application and a few days later received a call to set up home interview. The lady came to do my home visit on a Saturday she was nice. I was told that someone would reach out to me to tell whether I was approved or not so I could inquire about another dog if not. Well 2 weeks went by and I heard nothing. I contacted the lady who did the home visit and she said they should have reached out by this point and that she would send them a note to call me. Here it is now a month later and still no one has contacted me. This dog was suppose to be for my sons 11th birthday so luckily I went through Hope for life who made the adoption process so much easier and got my little Chi mix puppy. I'll never inquire about a dog again through this adoption agency this is not how your suppose to conduct buisness.

Chihuahua Rescue & Transport Inc was the most incredible, kind, thoughtful dog adoption agency I have ever worked with. Having volunteered with other groups in the past I can say without hesitation that they are the only group I will ever recommend to friends and family in the future. The match process is so personalized and the volunteers and staff I worked with were incredibly responsive and passionate about placing dogs in the right homes. When we identified Roscoe (love of my life!) as a good match, they flew him all the way to the DC area and would have brought him to my door if I had been willing to wait one more day. I wasn't! So I met Roscoe's foster out in Virginia and it was love at first sight! Roscoe is truly an angle. The best dog I've ever met and he fits right into my life. He is adored by everyone who meets him and is known as the "Chihuahua Ambassador" for those who may not have liked Chihuahuas in the past. I could go on but long story short, don't sleep on this small but mighty group. They are hard working, trustworthy, and truly dedicated to finding these dogs (including seniors and special needs pups) the perfect home. And that could be you!

I cannot thank CRT and their fosters enough for cultivating a real sense of family and helping raise happy and healthy dogs, and preparing them for their forever homes!

I was very sad when I lost my 12 yr old chihuahua/rat terrier mix. I reached out to CRT. I had a home that needed a puppy and they had a puppy needing a home. They matched me up with precious 4 month old Scout. It was love at first sight. She is a very special little girl that brings joy every day. I had the added bonus of meeting her foster parents. They are awesome. I still keep in touch and send them photos of Scout.

We adopted our sweet Ziggy from CRT and we couldn’t have had a better experience. Diana was so lovely to deal with and the foster family who brought him were amazing. They were so communicative from the start, they had taken amazing care of him abs we knew everything we needed to about him by the time we met him. He was exactly what we needed in our lives and we will be forever grateful to CRT for helping us find out furever baby.

I don’t know where I’d be without the angels that devote their heart and souls to the CRT all in the name of Chihuahuas! This poor little breed along with Pits are one of the most surrendered and misunderstood group of dogs there are. CRT understands that every little heartbeat they take in deserves another chance at a loving and forever home.
When I lost my beloved bestie in December, I immediately sought out the orphans at CRT here in Dallas. Not because I wanted to replace her, but because I needed to come home to wet kisses and a wagging tail! I inquired about a senior who’s owner recently passed away and received a picture back. I thought, well, maybe this guy lost weight or something… it was similar, but a little different. Fast forward, I find out “Jack” who I wanted to meet had already been adopted! Naturally the phones rang off the hook for him. I didn’t know who this other little guy was or what his story was. Well, let me tell you- Come to find out, Mr. Bugs was a sweet little blind man found roaming the streets severely under weight, infected with heart worms and an adorable underbite! Even though he wasn’t Jack, I still wanted to meet him to see if we were a “match”. I immediately knew he was special to have survived the streets with no vision and overcome his heart issues! He was a survivor like me, I totally loved him already. After meeting each other, and one lick on the face, then two weeks later, Bugs officially became “my person”! He and I go everywhere together and I work as hard as I do just so he can enjoy the finer things in life. His favorite past times include napping, snacking, and napping! Just like his momma! Needless to say, this was a match made in heaven! For anyone considering a small breed, consider rescuing one of these sweet souls from the CRT! They really do choose you! I know Bugs has rescued me!

In December 2020 my 17 year old 3 lbs Chihuahua died unexpectedly and I was devastated. I always told myself I wouldn’t get another dog bc I would never be able to love another dog like that again. For some reason I started looking at dogs on petfinder.com and came across a dog named Charlie from CRT. I filled out my application and received a call very quickly from CRT. They told me about a new rescue who was 3lbs and thought she would be perfect for me since I know how to raise a tiny 3lbs dog. We set up time to meet and it literally was love at first sight! I felt such a strong connection to this sweet little girl whom I named Billie and feel like she is me in dog form. What I loved about CRT is they want you to first have the dog stay with you for a week to ensure the dog is a good fit. Diana and the foster mom were both so incredibly nice and they truly love animals and want what’s best for them in order for the doggies to have a loving home! I couldn’t wait to officially sign the adoption papers and now 9 months later I’m still so happy and blessed that Billie found her way to me bc she saved me! Thank you CRT for all the wonderful work you do with saving these precious chihuahuas and finding them their forever home! You are true angels!

We adopted our little dude, Momo, from CRT in January. They posted him on Petfinder with photos of him in a bow tie - so dang cute! I was very impressed with the way the adoption was handled as well. They checked my references and checked on our other dog to make sure Momo would be in a safe home. They gave us a weekend to make sure he’d be a good fit for our little family (I knew before we even got home though!), and his foster mom sent him with a collar, harness, bed, and his favorite toy. I think that helped him settle in while he dealt with the stress of a new environment. I highly recommend CRT if you’re looking for a fur baby

We adopted Maggie (Abby) a week ago. She is the most loving little girl.
Our experience with this adoption was great. We had our references checked and a home visit.
I know some people say “if you so through humane society you don’t have to go through all of that”. , but I am glad we do. These dogs are sometimes rescued from terrible conditions and need to know they are going to good forever homes.
What this rescue does is a wonderful thing and I can’t thank them enough for our beautiful Maggie!

We have adopted three dogs from Chihuahua Rescue and Transport. Bugsy, who has become my heart dog, Gracie, who was rescued from an abandoned trailer, and Nomar, a Hurricane Harvey survivor. They all received vetting, vaccinations, and spay or neuter by CRT. The adoption fee doesn’t come close to the expenses a lot of these dogs incur. We will be adopting from CRT again.

We have five dogs three of which were adopted from Chihuahua Rescue and Transport Southeast. The thing I love about them is the care that they take in placing their dogs. Home visits and reference checks make for safe and loving placements. The pictures are Nomar, who was rescued after Hurricane Harvey in 2017, Bugsy, who they had for almost two years before we adopted him, and Princess Bonnie Grace who was rescued from a horrible situation. We love them to the moon and back. Thank you for the wonderful work you guys do to rehabilitate and bring all to health and happiness.

As someone who's worked with many rescues over the last 30+ years, CRT ranks among the top groups in terms of quality, professionalism, and transparency. I have adopted two chihuahua from CRT, both of whom started out as fosters. I've fostered many more dogs who went on to find wonderful, loving homes. CRT has an amazing group of volunteers who screen and counsel adopters, check references and vets, conduct home visits, and follow up after adopted dogs are placed. They are thorough, caring, compassionate, and always have the best interest of the dogs at the core of everything they do. I would highly recommend CRT to anyone who is considering adopting a chihuahua or chi-mix or has an interest in working with a terrific group of volunteers!

Hello there!! I'm Donna and these are our girls, Pippa and Demi. My husband and I adopted these two cuties on February 12, 2021 from CRT. We saw the puppies on Facebook early November and knew we needed to adopt one. We did some research and found that 100% of donations are used for extra vet fees, surgeries and dental care. We were sold on all that so we submitted an application and waited to be approved. Once approved, we set up a time and went to meet the puppies & pick out our Pippa.(I already had a name picked out) We only planned to adopt one but after sitting in the middle of all the little ones we knew we had to get two. So we have 2... Pippa and sister Demi!!
It has been right at a month now, and I have to say we have loved every minute we have had with these girls. They are so much fun. We want to thank the foster mom, Donna, for all the time she spent taking care of 5 puppies. I know it took a lot of work and tons of love to keep up with them daily!!! Also, thanks to Diana for all your time and dedication rescuing dogs and finding good foster parents. It is defiantly a lot of work!!
I have to say this has been a delightful experience working with CRT's adoption process. I would highly, highly recommend CRT.

I started as a volunteer for chihuahua rescue and transport as a foster mom for Stewie.

Then I adopted Stewie! He's light brown and came from a hoarding situation.

Chihuahua rescue and transport went to south Texas to rescue these sweet dogs and I am so grateful.

Stewie is sweet and kind, and I am so in love with my snuggler.

I loved working with chihuahua rescue and transport so much I decided to foster Bentley ❤.

They took care of all of their shots and I also fell in love with Bentley.

I adopted him also.

The volunteers for chihuahua rescue and transport are the best people ever!

Always helping the poor little fur babies in need!

In January 2018, I adopted two senior chihuahuas, Nano and Huey from CRT. Prior to adopting my little guys, I attended several events sponsored by the group who I found to be very friendly and helpful, especially Wendy Golman. Wendy also conducted my home visit and was very thorough in accessing the safety of my home before leaving my guys for an initial home visit. One of my guys came from Hurricane Harvey and one from a hoarding situation so they were both flight risks which required a thorough review of my home, including my fence. In June 2020, I became a volunteer and have since fostered 4 dogs, all of which have resulted in successful long-term adoptions. The work this group does is critical as chihuahuas are one of the high kill breeds. They take the ultimate adoption of their fosters very serious as they do not want a repeat of what happened to them to begin with so they are very selective to whom they will adopt, which I find very refreshing and courageous.

We are thrilled with our 12-year long term relationship with Chihuahua Rescue & Transport Inc. The President has remained the same throughout the years which makes us feel good. This month we adopted our second dog, Bandit (black & white), from this Rescue and we are over the moon! We still have our Chihuahua, Sir Remington (dressed in his Boy Scout outfit in photo), that we adopted from this nonprofit in 2009 and he's been delightful. This Group is very professional and their concern and mission is the dog's wellbeing. Home visits were scheduled and information was provided to us to determine if we were the right fit. This makes us feel really good about adopting from them as they don't just look for places to dump a dog. We have made financial donations over the years and after we lost one of our Chihuahuas, we had friends who donated to this group. The funds have always been used wisely. We highly recommend Chihuahua Rescue & Transport Inc. if you or a family member or friend are considering getting a new pet. Pamela Robison

My husband and I have adopted two chihuahuas from CRT, two little ones that are now the most precious creatures to us. The first adoption was in 2018 and the most recent one was last month in February 2021. CRT impressed me with the lengths they go to advocate for the dogs and make sure that the dogs end up in good homes so that they never face the situation of having to be rescued again. When the volunteer from CRT came to my house, she did a thorough check to make sure we were prepared to adopt a chihuahua, which meant our home had to be safe for a 6 pound chihuahua and our fence had to be completely secure. They also called references and did the due diligence to make sure I would provide a good home for the chihuahuas I adopted. One of our chihuahuas has some extreme trauma in her background, and CRT helped her through her transition from that abusive home and into our loving home. They even paid for life-saving surgery that she had to have because of the abuse she had received. We are so grateful that CRT saved both the lives of our chihuahuas because they are our babies now and I can't imagine life without them. CRT are angels to me and I will be forever grateful for the dedication they have to rescuing chihuahuas, and I will continue to donate to this amazing group of angels whenever I can.

The very worse day of my life was having to surrender my sweet fur baby. I’d had her 10 yrs and she was my constant companion. I’m disabled/retired law enforcement officer.
The home we lived in was being sold. The only place we could find would not accept pets, even service dogs. With only days left I contacted Carla and explained our situation. We met the next day and she agreed to take my baby.
Carla and her team were so very kind. She did not judge me or make me feel bad. I could not have ask for more.
I will be forever grateful to Chihuahua Rescue.

As a volunteer and adopter, I am proud to be associated with CRT. I have volunteered with many animal welfare groups over the years and CRT has some of the most dedicated and compassionate people I've ever met. They take in and work with dogs that other groups would not. Their volunteers go above and beyond in every way. I have fostered dogs who have gone on to find wonderful homes. One dog escaped from me the morning after I picked her up, and was gone for 12 days. During that time, other volunteers were incredibly supportive and offered help in any way they could. Fortunately, I was able to recover the dog, unscathed, and she remains with us as our fourth adoptee! Equally impressive is the careful attention the group pays to their financial resources. They are excellent stewards of their funding. The only things that could improve CRT are more volunteers and more funding so that even more dogs can be rescued and placed in loving, forever homes. If you're looking for a new Chihuahua, or a group with which to volunteer your time or make a donation, this is it!

We've adopted two rescued babies from Midwest CRT. They were very thorough with the adoption process the first time, a home visit, the foster mom inspected our home and spent time with an extensive interview to make sure we were a good match for the little girl we were interested in. We all agreed it was exactly what she needed and what we wanted. That was 9 years ago. When a second little girl became available we were approved almost immediately. Unfortunately we lost little Marty to Kidney failure, but we gave her the best life ever. We still have Baby, she adores our grandkids (and they adore her). We wouldn't hesitate to adopt from CRT in the future. Their fur babies are fully vetted, we were given specific personality traits and they were there long after the adoption to answer any questions or concerns while we all adjusted. It was a win/win for all of us. Thanks Midwest CRT. Keep up the fantastic work. :)

I first adopted a Chihuahua in 2005 from CRT and another this past Dec. It was a wonderful experience both times. The dogs I selected had been checked out by a Veterinarian, had all their shots, and were neutered. I was given their medical records, personal items, microchip info, personality info, and even a little extra food that he was use to eating. The adoption coordinator called me a couple of times the first week just to make sure everything was going ok. I really appreciate the care that they give their dogs and they make sure that the adoption is good for everyone.

CRT is a very unorganized organization. There is no way to contact anyone who works there other than email address--no physical address or phone numbers. I inquired about adopting a specific dog about a week ago and still have not heard back. It really is a shame that their organization is so dysfunctional because they are losing qualified people who are interested in giving these dogs a home. There is no way to access any information about the dogs for adoption other than their name, age, and a few other simple identifiers. When I called the only number listed for the organization, I got a director in Texas and I live in North Carolina. She forwarded my information to my local contact via email but she never got back to me. It is clear that the woman I spoke to was dedicated to her job, but it seemed like CRT might just be very understaffed.
