Adopted Mina and Willis they are the sweetest older couple. Bonded together. You can not find a better adoption organization. They do follow ups to make sure you are a good fit and match the dogs with each family.

We have five dogs three of which were adopted from Chihuahua Rescue and Transport Southeast. The thing I love about them is the care that they take in placing their dogs. Home visits and reference checks make for safe and loving placements. The pictures are Nomar, who was rescued after Hurricane Harvey in 2017, Bugsy, who they had for almost two years before we adopted him, and Princess Bonnie Grace who was rescued from a horrible situation. We love them to the moon and back. Thank you for the wonderful work you guys do to rehabilitate and bring all to health and happiness.

I love CRT! I have adopted two chihuahuas from CRT and love this rescue. They save chihuahuas and place them in wonderful foster homes until they get adopted. They are amazing people that take care of abused and abandoned dogs. They show the dogs what love is and train them.

I have had a wonderful experience with this group. So far, I have adopted two Chihuahuas, and all of the volunteers were overwhelmingly friendly and helpful. The Midwest Coordinator was prompt to respond, and the whole adoption process ran smoothly. I would be the first to recommend this organization, and 100% of donations go to pay for Chihuahua medical bills. I am thankful that we have honest groups such as this.

As a volunteer and adopter, I am proud to be associated with CRT. I have volunteered with many animal welfare groups over the years and CRT has some of the most dedicated and compassionate people I've ever met. They take in and work with dogs that other groups would not. Their volunteers go above and beyond in every way. I have fostered dogs who have gone on to find wonderful homes. One dog escaped from me the morning after I picked her up, and was gone for 12 days. During that time, other volunteers were incredibly supportive and offered help in any way they could. Fortunately, I was able to recover the dog, unscathed, and she remains with us as our fourth adoptee! Equally impressive is the careful attention the group pays to their financial resources. They are excellent stewards of their funding. The only things that could improve CRT are more volunteers and more funding so that even more dogs can be rescued and placed in loving, forever homes. If you're looking for a new Chihuahua, or a group with which to volunteer your time or make a donation, this is it!

We've adopted two rescued babies from Midwest CRT. They were very thorough with the adoption process the first time, a home visit, the foster mom inspected our home and spent time with an extensive interview to make sure we were a good match for the little girl we were interested in. We all agreed it was exactly what she needed and what we wanted. That was 9 years ago. When a second little girl became available we were approved almost immediately. Unfortunately we lost little Marty to Kidney failure, but we gave her the best life ever. We still have Baby, she adores our grandkids (and they adore her). We wouldn't hesitate to adopt from CRT in the future. Their fur babies are fully vetted, we were given specific personality traits and they were there long after the adoption to answer any questions or concerns while we all adjusted. It was a win/win for all of us. Thanks Midwest CRT. Keep up the fantastic work. :)

Eight years ago I adopted a little 4lb senior Chihuahua that CRT had rescued from a hoarding situation. They had successfully convinced the hoarder to surrender her animals. My tiny male had multiple medical issues in addition to being around 10yrs old at the time. Most would have euthanized him, but CRT gave him a second chance at life. He's now 18yrs old and the absolute light of my life. I feel so privledged to be his Mom! CRT is a nationally recognized Rescue full of wonderful, purpose driven people. I'd gladly foster or adopt again from them in the future. Thank you CRT!

CRT(Chihuahua Rescue and Transport) is a fantastic group of people to work with. They work diligently to make sure that they find only the best homes for the dogs in their care. They do have a fairly stringent application process that I fully respected and would have accepted nothing less! I highly recommend them if you are looking to adopt a Chihuahua!

Bugsy and Grace have come to us from CRT. I especially love how careful they are in placing their dogs by contacting the vets and references provided on applications. They also conduct home visits to make sure the adoptors are as represented and the Chihuahuas and Chi-mixes will live in a happy and healthy environment. I have recommended CRT to friends who are interested in adoption.
I have been so impressed with CRT that I now volunteer to do home visits.

My husband and I have adopted three Chihuahuas from Chihuahua Rescue and Transport over the years. They were very professional - quick to respond to all our inquiries and careful to match us to the perfect dogs for our family. After the adoption, they were very helpful to answer questions we had on medical needs, etc. This organization is also VERY involved in our community to help stray dogs. They have been featured numerous times on the news as helping in very tough situations (working to save dogs from disasters, hoarding situations, etc). 100% of donations go to the dogs, and we loved this. We highly recommend them.

I first adopted a Chihuahua in 2005 from CRT and another this past Dec. It was a wonderful experience both times. The dogs I selected had been checked out by a Veterinarian, had all their shots, and were neutered. I was given their medical records, personal items, microchip info, personality info, and even a little extra food that he was use to eating. The adoption coordinator called me a couple of times the first week just to make sure everything was going ok. I really appreciate the care that they give their dogs and they make sure that the adoption is good for everyone.

CRT is a very unorganized organization. There is no way to contact anyone who works there other than email address--no physical address or phone numbers. I inquired about adopting a specific dog about a week ago and still have not heard back. It really is a shame that their organization is so dysfunctional because they are losing qualified people who are interested in giving these dogs a home. There is no way to access any information about the dogs for adoption other than their name, age, and a few other simple identifiers. When I called the only number listed for the organization, I got a director in Texas and I live in North Carolina. She forwarded my information to my local contact via email but she never got back to me. It is clear that the woman I spoke to was dedicated to her job, but it seemed like CRT might just be very understaffed.
