I was recently at a reunion of about 500 female attendees. They were all asked to bring dresses to donate so that they could be given to women/girls whom cannot afford a prom/ party dress. I was so impressed at how many women brought dresses! TKO did a great job in collecting these and finding charities in need of these. What girl doesn't like a pretty dress..even if it's just to look at. I also know that when the founders travel, they make time to visit orphanages and gift toys and items needed. They have gone world wide and are truly kind.
We have attended many volunteer opportunities with Turn Kindness On and after each one we have left feeling tired yet fulfilled. I’d like to share one experience I witnessed at last years Carnival of Love. My youngest daughter (16 at the time) was handing out popcorn when she came across a hearing impaired man. She started signing to him and the look on his face was priceless they had a conversation without saying a word. We all have been given gifts, it’s up to us how we choose to use/share them. Me for one am thankful that my family chooses to be involved and give back where we can. Thank you TKO for helping us find these opportunities.
