Mission: Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum and Gardens preserves, protects and interprets Rockford's authentic history, heritage and culture to promote community and economic vitality.

Programs: Tinker to the Schools: The educator travels to various schools in the region that cannot afford field trips and provides seminars and hands-on activities to engage the students Field Trips- Students travel to Tinker to learn about Victorian and Rockford history Skype Tours- Schools that are too far away to visit Tinker participate in skype tours to provide interactive elements in their education Temporary Exhibits- Each year Tinker has three to four temporary exhibits showcasing Victorian, Tinker and Rockford history Scout Tours- Tinker provides a variety of programs to help both boy scouts and girl scouts earn badges and complete their journey program
