Mission: Theater Artaud exists to support and nurture adventurous and innovative performing artists by: collaborating on, presenting, and co-producing projects diverse in discipline and culture; supporting emerging and established artists through professional production and administrative services; maintaining a versatile and flexible performance space and atmosphere conducive to the development of new work and its audiences.
Programs: Theater Artaud currently maintains three major levels of programming: presenting touring artists and companies from across the country to Bay Area audiences co-producing emerging artists, including intensive support through the California Artists Advancement Initiative technical assistance and administrative support to self-producing artists who use the Theater's space as a venue. In FY 2001 Theater Artaud will support a total of 132 performances by approximately 25 artists and companies comprised of over 400 performers.
