Recently we assisted a young woman that was new to Martin County. She had moved to Florida after a painful divorce and was ready to start a new life with her daughter, but she did not know where to turn. She figured that it would take her at least a week to do some research and to find resources in Martin County. After she completed a Whole Child profile, she no longer needed to do the research, the Whole Child system connected her with all she needed right away: Schools, Health Insurance, Pediatrician, Counseling, and the local Motor Vehicle offices. In addition, she walked away with a WCC success plan that she can access via the WCC website to continue to learn about Martin County and resources on her own. There is now light at the end of the tunnel for this single mom.
