Mission: The Seed Business Network, a 501©(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 2003. Our mission is to assist people with disabilities (PWD) in developing the business, social and life skills they need to succeed. • In 2004, the SBA estimated that 14.8% of PWDs are self-employed -- almost twice as many as non-disabled (8%). • Recent employment rates for PWDs have been declining and are now under 30%. My goal is to provide PWDs with an opportunity to become more self-sufficient through self-employment.

I am a personal friend of the founder, Andy Leaf, and am continually impressed with Andy's cheerful initiative, his breath and depth of knowledge and his wisdom and grace. His business plan for this current initiative appears to be solid, well concieved and certian to be widely valued by others. This organization has attracted an impressive cross-section of dedicated volunteers and supporters. If anything, we suffer from an over abundance of optimism and hope.
