Programs: Education - there are more than 1,300 students enrolled in degree-granting educational programs at mcw. This includes approximately 950 medical students, more than 370 graduate students and 27 master of science in anesthesia students under a new anesthesiologist assistant program. Mcw faculty supervise more than 700 physicians in residency training and 200 physicians in fellowship training through the medical college of wisconsin affiliated hospitals. (continued in schedule o)
research - mcw is a major national research center and the second largest research institution in wisconsin. In fiscal year 2017, mcw invested $234. 0 million in research, teaching, training and related purposes which will lead to improved patient care and health outcomes. patient care - approximately 1,650 medical college of wisconsin physicians and more than 800 nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other health care practitioners provide adult patient care as the medical college physicians and pediatric patient care through children's specialty group, a joint venture with children's hospital and health system.
