This is a most excellent organization. I have been involved with them for over a year. They make sound decisions about the dogs that they rescue and foster. I have watched them work for good in our community and am thrilled to be part of their volunteer team. I choose to be involved with my time and money because I trust them and the work that they do
They're one of the best charity groups out there to help people with their bullies because of the stereotypic people of Belize a lot of people that's don't like to deal with them but they're willing to help they understand it's not the dog it's what's on the other end of the leash very nice group love him to death I wish them all the best luck in the world to keep going
Their unselfish acts and generosity is outstanding. They are true believers in what they want to accomplish
They are awesome! Educating people on the wonderful world of pitbulls. I adopted my boxer pit from the humane society. They helped me to understand her and provide a safe environment for her to run around and get some quality exercise without the fear of the intrusion of other dogs.
Brew City Bully Club does so many amazing things, rescuing and fostering, community outreach and their wonderful yard, where my dogs can safely run and play frisbee and fetch off-leash. I love that they work to increase understanding and compassion, and to help both dogs and their owners to create a healthier, happier world.
Such an incredible non profit that has done so much work to restore the reputation of our beloved pit bull type dogs! They have helped so many dogs find their furever homes and I can't wait to continue to watch the great things that they do!!
Brew City is a wonderful organization. They do some much for the community, including non-biased education about pit-bull type dogs, vaccination clinics, dog days, and many other events that support the mission of changing minds and saving lives! I have volunteered with this organization for almost 2 years now. I have watched this organization better the lives of dogs and dog owners alike. The work Michelle, Victoria, and Beth do, along with the many volunteers, is truly inspiring and I am proud to say I am a Brew city Bully club volunteer!
Such a great organization out there spreading the word about pit bull type breeds. There are so many misconceptions and stereo types and out right lies about these types of dogs. And Michelle and her crew are out there spreading the word and educating people about the true nature of these wonderful pets and the cruel and inhumane treatment they have been receiving. Take a moment and go to their website and get the facts and thank them for all the hard work they do for this wonderful breed. Thank you.
I volunteer for Brew city as a dog day volunteer. Families bring their pups to run around in a safe, fun playard (much like any other dog park), the only exception is that they are the only one/s. I have heard from many families that this is the most AWESOME idea, not only for reactive dogs, but for all. All are eager to return on another day!
Such an amazing organization filled with caring and loving people who really go over and beyond for the pitbull breed!
BCBC advocates tirelessly on behalf of a dog breed that has been unfairly discriminated against and taken advantage of. On a shoestring budget, they offer services that educate and enable people to be responsible and successful dog parents. I truly appreciate the dog days service they offer where an owner can bring her dogs to run free and safe in a large enclosed yard without having to worry about encountering other people or dogs. Every dog at every level of sociability should be allowed the chance to be carefree and have fun.
This rescue is amazing!! The work they are doing really helps promote such an awesome breed of dogs! They hold tide and true to their mission and keep the dogs best interest first at all times. Such an incredible group of people!
Love, love their stories on Facebook! Pitties are one of the most loyal and loving dogs I've ever met.
Love the way they help pit type dogs- while also educating people to help prevent future abuse or bsl
I wish I lived closer to participate in their events, but 100 support their cause helping the Bully Breed! They are the best!!!
In March 2018, nearly 3 years after my husband and I adopted our first pitbull, I attended BCBC's Pitbull University with my mom and one of my sisters, even though we'd all spent the last three years researching and arming ourselves against the naysayers, they still had so much more to teach us! I love their message, their mission, and how they present themselves. What stuck with me most was "You can't fight hate with hate." It's hard but it's the only way pitbull lovers will succeed in making people see all dogs are equally deserving of love! I also love their Dog Days facility, we don't have a fenced yard and our pitbull is both dog and human reactive, it's such a great place to let her run free with our other two pups.
Thank you for the opportunity to see the property, the old wolf sanctuary, and interact with the puppies helping them socialize. Also, we participated in a bike rally to raise both funds and awareness. The event was well organized.
This amazing group is dedicated to breaking down the stereotypes of pitbulls. Thanks to them, I was able to adopt our amazing pitbull, Rentao. He is a survivor of a dog fighting bust and with their help he learned how to be a dog again! We will forever be grateful for the amazing work this group does.
This group was instrumental in helping educate and train both my pitbull and my mother (who had never met a pittie before). We participated in class and had support with nail trimming and attended other activities at minimal cost. The founders and volunteers work hard to keep the positive image of this great breed within this city. Thank you for all you do BCBC
Brew city does such an awesome job placing the dogs. I love seeing all the pictures of the adoptees.
My husband and I became involved with the BCBC organization after they moved to Franklin, WI. We love their focus on educating people about pit bull type dogs as there are so many stigmas and misconceptions perpetuated by the media today. They run fundraisers, information booths at public events, walk parades, provide educational presentations, access to a safe space for dogs to run and play off leash, provide resources to dog owners, advocate for the battle against dog fighting, rescue dogs in need, and more! The list just goes on. Everyone involved in this organization, especially the founder and leaders in the organization, are very passionate about the cause, dedicated, and patient. Money and donations to this organization really go to where they are needed and can truly be beneficial.
Met a lady at a restaurant one night as I was talking about my pitties to a friend ended up talking to her forever as she worked with this rescue. Such a great thing that they do!
Brew City Bully Club is a phenomenal nonprofit organization! My first experience with them was at an educational event they were hosting called The P Word. The event was extremely educational, inspiring, and unbiased. I learned so much about the education and advocacy that they provide for Pit Bull Type dogs and the people that love them. I was so inspired that I decided to become a volunteer for their organization!
My direct experience with them is limited. I took my dog to participate with their picture with Santa program. On a personal note, it was fantastic how friendly and seemingly delighted they were with my little cannonball of a dog. But probably more important is the roll I witness them play in this community for the advocacy of pit bulls. From their events to the education they disperse I think they are changing minds and watching out for a very deserving and but sadly at risk type of dog. From a pit bull type dog breed owner, I am so very greatful this program exists!
We adopted our sweet boy Casanova from this amazing organization. The way they handle this misunderstood, beautiful breed and the awareness they bring to the community is unparalleled. It feels more like a family than an organization and they are changing not only these dogs lives but the people they work with!
We love all the work BCBC does for our city, and the Dog Days private dog park they run has been such a great resource for my dog selective pups. It allows them to run and have fun and helps me feel at ease knowing they are safe. I am so happy we have them as a resource.
This rescue has a great group of caring, hardworking, loving people who work tirelessly helping make the world a better place for humans and dogs!!! ❤️❤️
The Brew City Bully Club is an amazing group of people who care so deeply about pittbull type dogs. I have been to some of their events and the timeless work that the volunteers put into educate people on pittbull type dog is amazing. Everyone that i have met through these events is so caring and will answer all your questions. I truly learned a lot and have passed that information onto others.
BCBC is very near and dear to our hearts! Without them we wouldn’t have our wonderful dog Waldo inbour lives. We love BCBC so much for all they do to help doggies in need. ❤️
I love BCBC, they are so dedicated to making a difference for the dogs they save but also for the community by offering many ways to help people with pitbull type dogs.
Bcbc is the best !! Tons of education and resources for the public along with adopting out great dogs.
Without this wonderful organization We would not have been blessed with our perfect boy Elliot. He has changed our minds and lives so much and is a huge part of our family. Thank you BCBC!
Brew City Bully Club is one of the most amazing non-profit organizations ever organized; the women who make it possible go above and beyond to help animals in the Milwaukee area, and I am so honored that I have been able to volunteer with them. Changing Minds and Savings Lives is not an easy task and without the hard work of Michelle, Victoria, Alexis, and many others there are many people who would not have given a pit bull type dog a second chance at life — they’re truly heroes.
Brew City Bully Club is one of the best and most amazing animal rescues I have had the pleasure of volunteering for and getting to know; the dedication Michelle, Victoria, and their team have to helping animals in need is inspiring!! Not only do they pull animals from the local animal shelter and give them a second chance, they're committed to educating the public about the importance of spay/neutering, microchipping, and get involved in the community whenever they can by offering low-cost vaccine clinics! They're the best
Having bully breeds ourselves we have watched this organization grow over the past few years and it's been wonderful to see. Much needed in our local community
Excellent group!!! Many community programs educating on the awesomeness of pitties!! Love volunteering when I can...
Brew City Bully Club is not just a Rescue, they are an Educator, Advocate and driven to make changes in the way people view the rescue world. They are dedicated and driven to hold seminars, clinics, fund raisers to educate the community. They really live up to their tag line, “changing minds, saving lives”. I have experienced first hand the work they do and the countless rescues they have already saved. This organization is getting bigger and stronger and need the recognition and support to continue working as hard as they do.
My wife and I have been volunteering here now for a couple of years and couldnt be prouder to be apart of such an amazing organization! Outstanding individuals working together for a great cause.
-changing minds and saving lives!
I would be lost without this group. As the mom of a block headed boy, having this group, this community, as my support system has meant the world to me. I love the BCBC!
I have been volunteering with the BCBC since shortly after it's inception. I had just started to learn the plight of pit bull type dogs and wanted to help out in any way I could. I loved the work that the club was doing not only for pit bull type dogs, but for our community as well. This is an amazing organization and I am proud to be a part of it.
These are some of the most amazing ladies I have ever met. Their knowledge is out of this world!! Couldn't ask for a better group to run such a great organization. 10 years and counting!!! Keep up the good work. Changing minds and saving lives
I have been attempting to volunteer for many years and failed. This year everything has changed and I couldn't be more excited!! All the ladies that run BCBC are fantastic and so welcoming. The volunteers I've met thus far are just as amazing!! This isn't just another organization. This is a family. They do so much for the community, trying to spread awareness and help those who are in need. Whether it be dog training or everyday life!! Community outreach days and this dream boat of a Rescue Retreat . We took our boys to Dog Days this past weekend and they had a blast!! Sleeping in 10 minutes!!
BCBC changed our lives when we were approved to adopt our beloved Bogey. Their mission is comendable. Their passion to save unwanted dogs who are condemned and find them loving homes is laudable. Thank you BCBC!
We had the opportunity to work with the organization and it’s great to work with people who care so much. Thank you for introducing us to pitbulls!!
I have had the pleasure to volunteer off on and for the past 10 years since the beginning. Brewcity truly puts their heart and souls into helping the pit bull community. They truly want to do their best at not only helping but educating as well. I am honored to be part of such a great organization.
BCBC is a great organization that does a lot for the pitbull community. They live up to their slogan of changing minds, changing lives. Love what they are doing!
We started with BCBC when we saw a pup online. We went through the process and were very impressed by the steps they take for adoption. They don't just give these dogs to anyone.
We've had our dog for 4 years now. And have kept in touch with the organization. Volunteering, referring others, anything we can. We always recommend BCBC when people say they're looking for a dog.
I’ve had the opportunity to work with Brew City Bully Club in various capacities almost since their inception 10 years ago. I’ve participated in socializing and agility-type classes with my dogs to organized neighborhood walks, community awareness and/or fundraising events, and the list goes on. I was really fortunate to work with many of the amazing volunteers to set up a place to host a vaccine/ microchipping event in a neighborhood that highly utilized the services offered and the program formerly known as Animal Allies, which on several occasions brought a therapy certified pitty into an urban elementary school to open dialogue about pit bull type dogs, proper care and treatment of pets and of course to interact with a group of students. The many experiences with BCBC staff, volunteers, events and programs have been nothing short of positive, organized and fun. The work that the BCBC is doing in Milwaukee and surrounding areas is so greatly needed and I’m proud to support such an amazing organization!
Everyone at Brew City is amazing and goes above and beyond to help the animals and the humans who love them. I am so happy to know them and work with them.
BCBC truly cares about dogs and giving back to the community. They provide a fantastic platform where pitbull type dogs can have a voice. It's not an easy job advocating for this breed but they do it tirelessly and in the most positive way. I have fostered one dog through them and it was a life changing experience. I can't wait to foster more!
We love the BCBC and everything they do to help these pups! We fostered 2 puppies through BCBC and ended up adopting our second foster. BCBC does such a great job of community outreach and education!
I came to BCBC to learn more about my adopted pitbull-type dog. I stayed. For years. And, volunteer, fostered, adopted and continue to promote this group. A clear mission drives passionate workers and volunteers and their enthusiasm and professionalism captures the public they engage. From the open retreat/dog park facility to public events, educational booths and owner support, the group makes a significant, positive impact on the community. And, they're just plain fun. This is a great example of a well-run team with a clear mission; they're an excellent value to the community.
We have been working with this amazing organization for a while now and see how much they care about these dogs. They are always making decisions with the dog’s best interest in mind and will try every option possible to help them.
They make sure their volunteers are on the same page to do things consistently and correctly - again in the best interest of the dogs.
The bottom line is that they truly and honestly care. They are in this organization with their hearts and love of the animals.
I started volunteering with Brew City Bully Club about a year ago. I had volunteered with several dog rescues/animal shelters in the past, but hadn't found the right fit since moving back to the area. I learned about BCBC through their Dog Days program, where my reactive dogs could run and play worry-free. I decided to attend a volunteer orientation and am so glad that I did! Brew City Bully Club is an amazing organization with an important mission and a dedicated group of volunteers that work tirelessly to accomplish great things! !
I've been involved with different aspects of the Brew City Bully club for almost 7 years now. From rescue to education and owner support, they are truly out there making a difference in the community. I'm so grateful to have watched them grow from the early years and to continue to be a part of such a wonderful organization!
Brew City Bully Club is a life changing organization for dogs as well as people. Through outreach, education, and low cost spay and neuter programs, people are being helped to be better owners. The rescue retreat is a place where you can go and spend some time with your dog and not have to worry about a thing. It's totally enclosed, like a dog park setting, and you can be there all by yourself even if your dog doesn't prefer the company of other dogs. They also have some very special rescue digs available for adoption. There are fun events to attend, and when you volunteer, it's like being with family.
I'm not sure how to put my love and appreciation for Brew City Bully Club into words. Not only are they an amazing rescue who have saved so many block headed beauties but their mission of education about a truly misunderstood breed means so much to me. I have been blessed to adopt two dogs through BCBC. Sadly our first dog Mya passed away very unexpectedly and far to soon. It about broke my heart in half but BCBC was there to support me during my time of grief. They took the time to send me a flower arrangement and when I was ready to adopt again, they were there every step of the way. Thanks to them I adopted my furry soulmate Zelda and have had her close by my side for over four years. She lays cuddled up next to me as I type this now. Brew City Bully Club means the world to me. I could never thank them enough for all they have done and continue to do!!
I found out about BCBC from a friend and then attended a Pitbull 101 class in Appleton in 2018. PHENOMENAL class! I was nervous that the class would be full of tension and debate but instead Michelle lead it with compassion, education, reality, and... FUN!
I bought two sweatshirts and wear them all the time. The sweatshirts spark so many positive conversations.
I am looking forward to attending more BCBC events and volunteer in the future!
For years I have wanted to volunteer with a dog rescue organization and had looked into the WHS and it just was not a good fit for me. BCBC has changed my life and love volunteering for them. Their pit bull advocacy has inspired me and I know it does to several others too. I could never imagine volunteering for a different organization and I am glad I’ve had the opportunity to work with them
BCBC is a fantastic group that does tons of amazing things for pitbull type dogs not only in the city of Milwaukee, but throughout the entire state of Wisconsin!
I have many wonderful words to describe Brew City Bully Club however the one that stands out the most for me is dedicated. Michelle, the founder, bleeds the rescue's tagline of Changing Minds and Saving Lives. Never passing up an opportunity to talk to someone, to answer a question. Always seizing a moment of education.
Michelle and the whole Brew City team immerse themselves into the communities they find themselves in. They learn to understand other people's point of view of the bully breed. They observe how the children in the community are raised to view the pitbull. For it's only by going to the root of the problem that one is able to make a difference. This is both challenging and necessary and it's something that Brew City Bully Club has been able to focus and zero in on and therefore help by educating the youth, our next generation. Offering time and again, the tools and knowledge to our young minds so that they may join the efforts to end dog fighting. It is not always easy to root for the underdog. Especially when there's so much public stigma surrounding them. However Brew City Bully Club and their supporters continue to rise up from the ashes and face each defeat with new clarity and perspective in a very chameleon type way, molding and melding, transforming into exactly what the bully breed and the community need them to be time and again. BCBC is commitment at its very core. If you have ever thought of dipping your toes in the water of volunteering and would like to be part of an amazing crew, don't hesitate to reach out to Michelle and her staff. Your heart and soul and that of each human and dog you encounter from that point on will never be the same.
I can't say enough great things about Brew City Bully Club! As pitbull owners it's a great feeling to know there's a group like this out there for us and so many others. Michelle Serocki and her family of volunteers have always been there to answer any questions we've ever had, had programs in place that we could bring our dogs and work with any issues they may be dealing with, the clinics to help get proper care, spaying and neutering and vaccines to pets that may not be able to receive due to financial reasons, education to our youth and older generations, all of the events that bring awareness to the Bully breed and now that they've secured their property "The BCBC Retreat". We have already taken advantage of that!! Our dogs can run and play in a completely fenced in area for 30 min, where they are safe and can just be dogs. Love these guys!! It really feels like a huge family because we all share our love for pitbulls and want only the best for them by bringing positive awareness and hopefully one day end BSL.
I was there on a Saturday. My daughters and their dogs were at the rescue for 30 minutes of fun. They spent time in the great outdoors, sniffing, running around the huge outside area chasing tennis balls and sniffing everything on the ground and in the air. Talked with visitors, volunteers and rescue personnel. Fun was had by all.
