Causes: Behavioral Science
Mission: To research and develop more effective means of communication through cmm
Programs: Research: cosmokidz research project in hammond, la. Two schools and thirteen k-2 classes are participating in this research. Supported 3 fellows and provided 3 fellowships for graduate students and practioners using cmm in their work. Two books have been published about cmm as part of a thin book series that the institute sponsors. Helped lead a research seminar at fielding graduate university. Learning exchanges: a learning exchange for graduate students occurred in april at clark university in massachusetts. Thirty-five participants attended. A second learning exchange for the general public interested in cmm occurred in london, uk in october. Fifty participants from eight countries and two continents participated. Miscellaneous projects: the cmm institute is continuing work on a virtual website that will depict a community in the year 2045 that has taken the communication perspective seriously. The website will show how city government, the educational system, spiritual centers and community programs and services work in the fictitious city of cosmopolis. The projected launch date for the website is in 2018.
