The North Country Children's Clinic's provides quality health care to area children regardless of their ability to pay. Their caring, concerned staff go above and beyond the call of duty to insure each child and family is treated with dignity, respect, and the very best medical, dental, and mental health care available. Without the Clinic, many of these children would go without care, or be forced to rely on expensive emergency room treatment - needlessly hitting the pockets of all taxpayers! The Clinic also encompasses the WIC program which provides nutritous food and dietary guidance to nursing mothers, infants, and young children - insuring a healthier start to countless young lives. Other programs include childhood obesity prevention and treatment, and the adolescent/teen pregancy support and education program. The staff is truly dedicated to the well being of each and every child they serve. It has been an honor to serve this vital community resource for the past six years.
NCCC has caring staff who see each person from a wholistic viewpoint not just as a person there for a given service. By integrating physical, mental, and behavioral change health, the service provided is truly unique and effective. The work that NCCC does to improve health does not stop with their clientle. They take an interest in the health of the entire community. The most recent example of this is the Farmers Market that is at the Watertown location. What a fantastic opportunity for their clients, staff and those that work in the area to get fresh local food.
The North Country Children's Clinic is an organization built on the believe that all children are equal and each one deserves the best treatment available regardless of ability to pay. The staff at the Clinic treat each child with sincerety and love as they make things happen and make children well. As a Board Member, I have learned about the daily financial struggles that the Clinic faces given today's limited funding sources and difficult economic enviroment. The Clinic sees over 10,000 patients during the course of a year and makes our community a better place to live by taking care of our neighbors. Without donations, the Clinic may suffer financial stress that it cannot overcome. Please help this deserving organization.
