Mission: The mission of the Child Protection Resource Center of Virginia is: 1)To work with communities to promote and enhance their current multidisciplinary response to child abuse; 2) To support existing children's advocacy centers and encourage adoption of this model throughout Virginia; 3) To educate the general public on the status and needs of abused children, with an emphasis on the benefits of using a multidisciplinary team response to lessen the trauma for children who have allegedly been abused; 4) To promote system improvements that further the best interest of abused children and enhance prosecution of offenders
