Causes: Arts & Culture, Visual Arts
Mission: Bronx river art center (brac) is a culturally diverse, multi-arts, non-profit organization that provides a forum for community, artists, and youth to transform creativity into vision. Our education, exhibitions, artist studios, and presenting programs cultivate leadership in an urban environment and stewardship of our natural resource--the bronx river.
Programs: During the year bronx river art center continued to present its education, exhibitions, and performing programs at various "pop-up" venues throughout the bronx while our building remained under renovation. These venues included hell gate arts gallery in port morris, the sheridan space on west farms road, and community board 6. We also presented our performance programs at port morris distillery and at various outdoor venues including our rear garden of the bronx river art center.
