Nonprofit Overview
Mission: To empower under served youth and young adults through literature based enrichment programming. The book truck will help these youth and young adults build personal resiliency and become self-motivated learners by connecting them with high interest reading materials and creating communities of readers. Increase literacy skills among foster care and low-income teens in order to break the cycle of poverty.
Programs: Provided free books and literacy programing to youth in title 1 and dropout recovery high schools and at foster youth and community resource fairs. In 2017, 2,282 teens participated in our programming.
