Mission: Founded by Heidi Landes in 1996, TeenWorks has been operated solely to help urban teens fight against situations of poverty and hopelessness. It has done so by engaging its participants in looking into new alternatives for their future. By teaching teens how to start and operate their own small businesses, through adult mentoring, and through service projects giving back to their own communities, our teens have proven to themselves there is hope beyond what they may see on a daily basis. Our vision is therefore to raise up indigenous leaders to bring God's love and justice to urban neighborhoods today and in the future after the teens complete our programs.
