The partnership between UPS and Agape started 3 years ago when I toured their facility during a day of caring event. During the tour, the founder, Steve Gieb, mentioned that nearly 1000 youth in the state of Ohio “age out” of the foster care system, with few resources for stable employment or an opportunity to continue their education. The youth emancipating from foster care at 18 years old, have a higher risk of dropping out of high school, being homeless, becoming teenage parents, being unemployed, being incarcerated or worse. After hearing Steve talk about the potential hardship these youth face when they turn 18, I started thinking about how good UPS has been to me and my family while I was a young adult. I connected with Steve after the tour and committed to finding or establishing a way for UPS to help the youth in Agape’s Bridging Hope and Futures program and aid their transition from foster care to personal and financial independence. I explained to Steve that UPS has a culture of longevity being in business for 110 years, a culture of partnership with ½ million employees across the globe, and many career advancement opportunities. UPS is not just our driver delivering your daily Amazon Prime packages. We are the 11th largest airline in the World, we offer financial services, we provide insurance, we have our own IT resources, our own fleet management, even our own proprietary delivery/routing software. Steve and his team was excited to start working with a company like UPS and since have expanded the ways for UPS to help youth in their Bridging Hope and Futures program.
So how does this partnership work today. UPS Sales, Operations and Human Resources partners in West Carrollton put together a variety of presentations for Agape’s youth that teach professional skills and awareness, as well as, a discussion of the long-term benefit of choosing employment with UPS. If UPS fits their skills and capabilities, a mechanism has been created in the application process to identify Agape as the employment referral. Once employment starts, a mentor is appointed to the youth to provide guidance and encouragement throughout their first year. These young adults will be provided an opportunity to grow and develop within UPS, which is the same opportunity I and many others have been provided. The UPS team in Dayton, OH is proud to partner with Agape and we share a vision of taking our partnership that we know will work on our local level and bring it to a national level.
I have worked with Agape For Youth for three years and could not be happier. Agape For Youth has a family atmosphere that they have built for not only their staff but their foster parents and foster children.

I am very proud of to be an advocate of Agape for Youth for the entire 30 years they have been in existence. This organization takes no shortcuts when it comes to SERVING THE FAMILIES affiliated with their organization. Steve and Sandie Geib "lead by example" as they have always sought out the best staff/Board to serve the youth in their care. They are DEDICATED (to their mission), EDUCATED (in knowing local/state guidelines/policies that must be adhered to in order to maintain the exemplary reputation they have) and physically SITUATED (logistically in the community) in a location that is accessible to the population they serve.

I have worked at Agape For Youth for 13 years. In that time I have seen selfless, mission driven people accomplishing so many good things for youth and families! There have been high school graduates, housing of homeless young people, helping birth families stay together, completing adoptions for children who found forever homes through foster care, sharing of resources with community members in need, sending goody boxes to our troops over seas, helping teens build needed life skills, sending children to camp who have never been, support of coworkers during sometimes horrendous circumstances, outreach and links to businesses who can provide employment opportunities to struggling youth, giving of normal childhood experiences such as amusement parks and zoos to kids who could never do so otherwise, planting the seeds of the concept of giving with youth, and community service projects that give back to those around us. Any youth served by Agape present or past is always considered family. This is a truly SPECIAL place and I am lucky to be a small part of the special!
It is an honor to work for this agency these past (almost) 11 years. Agape cares about me as both a professional and a person. I look forward to coming to work each day.
My co-workers go above and beyond to make sure that children are placed in the best possible home with the least possibility for disruption. We all recognize the importance of quality over quantity and the value of doing the right thing!

This agency goes above and beyond in serving the youth and families involved in their various programs. There are numerous opportunities for fun activities with families and children of all ages throughout the year. Each of these activities are also open for volunteers to come and serve in various roles.
I have been employed with Agape for over two years and I love coming to work each day. The staff is friendly and supportive of one another and our foster families. In the office we work hard, but also allow time for self care and fun. I have had opportunity for advancement within the company and I feel encouraged by my supervisors to achieve great things both personally and professionally. The Agape staff cares about our mission and works hard to serve each other and the community with excellence.
My husband and I volunteer each year to care for the children in Agape's programs while the parents attend a one day seminar. All the staff are extremely dedicated to serving the children in need of foster care or adoption. It is very gratifying to witness firsthand, the wonderful results Agape achieves through their many services, training and programs.

The morale in the office is great and I look forward to coming to work each day. Furthermore, they go above and beyond to ensure that children are placed in the best possible home with minimal possibility for disruption. Agape for Youth is always finding ways to give back to the communty and make a difference in the lives of children.
Agape for Youth provides excellent foster care, adoption, and reunification services for many children and families. They truly invest in everyone that they work with and spend a lot of time trying to provide the best support possible to their clients.
Agape is a great agency which places the needs of their families first. They strive to ensure the families served feel special through activities and special events.
I've known Steve and Sandie personally for a few years. I would often listen to then talk about the activities and happenings at Agape for Youth. I would also hear not only their enthusiasm but it was also very apparent the love and affection they have for the children, the families and their staff.
When I heard they needed a part-time administrative assistant, I broke my own personal rule about working for friends or family and applied for the job. Although I wasn't "needing" a job, I knew working for them would be worth the drive and be an excellent work environment.
As the Executive Director and Founder of Agape it is my honor to serve with the dedicated and passionate co-workers who serve the youth and families entrusted to our care.
We are intentional in our mission, and driven to provide excellence in our work.
The Foster Parents with Agape are second to none!
Together we are and will forever be "Agape Strong",
Stephen Geib
One of the best foster care agencies in Southwest Ohio with staff who truly care and want to make a difference.
Agape is an agency that genuinely cares about the children it serves as well as the families who foster. There is one family who wanted to adopt and they were able to adopt a sibling group of three. They thought they were done but here we are 12 years later and they have adopted nine with the possibility of another soon! These children have a great loving home due to the hard work that came before adoption was an option.
I have worked in the child welfare field for over twenty years and the last five have been with this amazing organization. I chose Agape because of the reputation that they had built in the community and because of the Executive Directors committment to Agape's vision of "serving families, youth, and each other with excellence"
In the five years I have served at Agape I have seen over 250 children reunified with their families and another 50 children find forever families through adoption. Agape is committed to permanency for our children and families. Beyond the amazing work being done in foster care, Agape provides a reunification program to children who are returning to their birth families after being in foster care. This program has seen great success maintaining over a 90% success rate over 9 years.
Agape for Youth, under the leadership of Stephen Geib, has instituted a strength based leadership/supervision model that has build an incredible culture in the office. This positive culture transitions into the field with our social workers empowering our families to be the very best they can be and allowing children to recieve outstanding support and service.
We have many activities/events for our foster and reunification families. One of my favorite events is Santa's Secret Workshop. This is an event where foster and reunification families come in to the office, and we take the children into a 'shopping' area to pick out presents for their biological and foster families. Then, we wrap the presents for the children so they can take them home and put them under tree to surprise their loved ones on Christmas morning. Many of these children have never received a present, let alone given a present to someone. Seeing the delight and excitement in the children's eyes warms my heart and helps the Christmas season come alive for me. What a blessing this event is to everyone involved.
I'm a licensed social worker and I'm beginning my 9th year working for Agape for Youth. I work in the Reunification Services Program. It's been a great experience for me and a great help to the families that we serve. Our program is recognized in the juvenile court system as a great support to the families in need. It is undoubtedly the best company that I have ever worked for!
I have worked for Agape for Youth, Inc. for 1 year now and I cannot express how wonderful of an agency this really is. All of the staff are compassionate, loyal and experienced professionals. They work hard to keep foster placements stable and support the foster families as much as possible. Agape for Youth has licensed many foster homes that provide incredible support, stability, love and empathy for the children placed in their homes. This is a wonderful agency that recognizes the importance of quality over quantity and the importance of support and doing the right thing!
We've supported Agape for Youth, Inc. for years because we hear of the wonderful work they do with abused children, and their parental abusers. We got to know about Agape of Youth, Inc. when our daughter, Ann Morrissey, began working their as a social worker. The Staff is absolutely wonderful and I admire the work that they do.
