Mission: The coalition's vision is to eradicate online child sexual exploitation. It's strategies are: sponsor the development of technology solutions that distrupt the ability to use the internet to exploit children or distribute child sexual abuse content; and seek and create platforms for collaboration with the private and public sectors for the creaton of standards, the sharing of best practices and similar initiatives that advance the fight against online sexual exploitation of children.
Programs: Crimes against children conference, "tech track" - 2017 marked the fifth year that the technology coalition has hosted a day of workshops, called the "tech track," at the crimes against children conference (cacc). The cacc, held in dallas each year, is an internationally-recognized event that provides practical instruction to professionals responsible for combating the many and varied forms of crimes against children. The "tech track" offers a forum for the tech industry at-large to discuss topics related to fighting online child sexual exploitation while setting standards for action-oriented collaboration. This enables technology companies to enhance their own strategies and tools for addressing child sexual exploitation on their systems.
in may 2017 the tech coalition hosted a policy-legal hackathon for members of the tech industry which featured panels and group discussions about issues related to the fight against child sexual exploitation online.
