The Sue Duncan Center is a wonderful place to volunteer. I have been there for approximately four years and have developed strong relationships with the youth and the staff members at the Center. I appreciate how they allow volunteers to engage with the Center in a variety of ways, including leading groups, playing basketball in the gym, or simply chatting over a snack. I've enjoyed watching the children grow academically and be a part of the celebration as they succeed in meeting their goals.

I have been volunteering at the Sue Duncan Children's Center for over 3 years. The experience has been absolutely wonderful. The Center is committed to helping students in K-12 reach their full potential. The staff is very supportive and create a welcoming environment. I am privileged to be able to volunteer at the Center and have really enjoyed the connections that I have made with the children and youth in the Program. They bring in volunteers from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and the University of Chicago. These young people add to an environment of excellence with a focus on academic achievement as well as on-going support and encouragement to all of the children at the Center.
