Mission: The primary exempt purpose of mercy health system (mhs) is to extend the healing ministry of jesus by improving the health of our communities with emphasis on people who are poor and under-served. Mhs accomplishes this purpose by demonstrating behaviors reflecting our core values of compassion, excellence, human dignity, justice, sacredness of life, and service. Mhs provides services and support to affiliated health care facilities, including but not limited to: providing strategic leadership, focusing resources to assure the healing mission, effectively managing care, improving clinical outcomes, and reducing operating costs.
Programs: The operating assets of mercy health system, inc. Were sold to health management associates, inc. On october 1, 2011. Accordingly, all hospital operations ceased effective that date. All remaining assets and liabilities were merged into mercy health partners, inc. On december 31, 2012.
