Mission: To mentor young people in the digital media arts to help them find voice, tell their stories, and be empowered to affect positive change in their lives, their communities, and the world.
Programs: Youth documentary arts and digital pathways (including powerup & summer programs)- 100 to 160 hour intermediate classes give students the opportunity to work with skilled mentors to explore issues of interest to them, connect with their communities, and to build media production skills in preparation for a career in the field.
pitchnic and loud and clear - 150 to 350 hour advanced, year long programs in film, radio, music productions, and game design. Depending on the class, students are mentored by professionals to create documentary and narrative films, produce an album, host their own radio show, develop a game, or produce videos for community based clients.
community partnerships - 2 to 24 hour introductory classes in film, audio, music, and design where students learn the basics of each discipline. Classes are held at spy hop or out in the community in partnership with other youth service organizations and schools.
phase 2 productions - phase 2 productions is a video production service that provides spy hop alumni the opportunity for real employment after spy hop, while strengthening the financial capacity of the organization and providing low cost services to the community.
