Mission: Our mission is to preserve and revitalize the music and teachings of the sacred song calling "spirituals," created and first sung by enslaved africans in america in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Programs: During the year, through concerts and events, the organizations helped to educate the public about african-american spirituals, enhanced the public's understanding of the historical value of the spirituals, and encouraged appreciation of the spirituals as an art form and cultural tradition. This service is provided via concerts and events.
