Mission: Mission of sefc the southeastern fracture consortium holds as it core mission to: 1) sponsor an annual cme accredited trauma education event targeted to meeting the needs of the orthopaedic surgeon in community practice who is managing patients with musculoskeletal injuries. 2) sponsor an annual think tank dedicated to clinical research in the care of patients with musculoskeletal injury, with an emphasis on identification of topics that are best suited to investigation with multi-center retrospective or prospective cohort studies. 3) through these activities sefc achieves the goals of: developing camaraderie among professional colleagues among the membership of the organization
Programs: Education- didactice and group discussions in the format of an annual conference and cadaver lab serving 150 individuals who are providers of care and orthopaedic residents and fellows in preparation for becoming providers to patients.

Research: think-tank for developing milti-center studies-annual meeting of this group as well as year round collaboration with 20 plus centers being represented and and more than 60 prinicpal investigators involved in studies to improve trauma fracture care.
