Causes: Family Services, Human Services
Mission: The foundation endeavors to provide jewish adults and teenagers with the opportunity of doing chesed (acts of kindness) activities in order to assist and strengthen jewish communities in the diaspora and in israel.
Programs: In 2014, ten high school teenagers from the united states participated in our summer program to greece and israel. Unfortunately due to the war in israel this past summer, the group did not continue into israel. These teenagers interacted with other young people in greece; working with children in a jewish summer camp, participating in shabbat services, visiting holocaust survivors and working with disabled children. Additionally participants worked in soup kitchens and spent time working in local cemetaries to maintain and beautify the gravesites. Through interacting with other teenagers in the country visited, the number of individuals benefited from this program is exponential relative to the number of participants.
in november 2014, 19 adults participated in a program to ukraine, hungary and romania. The adults accomplished three major goals: 1. Social action 2. Political activism 3. Heritage connectionthrough interacting with other adults in the countries visited, the number of individuals benefited from this program is exponential relative to the number of participants.
