Causes: Arts & Culture, Music, Symphony Orchestras
Mission: The mission of the Central Jersey Symphony is to enrich the community by inspiring a love of music through exciting performances, innovative programming, and educational outreach. We endeavor to accomplish our mission in the following ways: 1. Presenting the rich repertoire of orchestral classical music, including contemporary works and works of lesser-known composers. 2. Enhancing audience appreciation of orchestral music through interaction with musicians and composers. 3. Creating performance opportunities for New Jersey artists, both amateur and professional. 4. Expanding the audience for classical music in New Jersey through outreach to audiences beyond the concert hall. 5. Collaborating with other cultural and community service organizations in the region, through the presentation of events which will benefit and educate the community at large.
Programs: Performances of symphonic repertoire of all genres, including works of contemporary composers. The CJSO performs two major programs each season, with a focus on presenting New Jersey artists and composers.
