Mission: This corporation is a "charitable corporation" as defined in ncgs55a-1-40(4). This corporation is organized exclusively for one ormore of the purposes as specified in section 501(c)(3) of theinternal revenue code. The purposes for which this corporation isorganized are to acquire, own, operate, provide, maintain andperpetuate an institution of higher learning (with a focus oneducation of international students) and all properties, facilities,programs and services necessary or appropriate in connectiontherewith; to acquire, own, operate, provide, maintain and perpetuatesuch other organizations, associations, properties, facilities,programs and services as are appropriate in furtherance of sucheductional, research, charitable or scientific purposes; and toengage in any lawful act or activity for which nonprofit corporationsmay be organized under the north carolina nonprofit corporation act.
Programs: Operate programs of higher learning with a focus on education ofinternational students. For the academic year, 242 (fall session),427 (spring session), and 12 (summer session) students pursuedtheir higher education on raleigh's campus.
