Mission: To provide comprehensive support services to people and their families living with hiv/aids; to provide assistance for housing to people living with disabilities; and to promote aids education and prevention services to the general public.
Programs: Client services: provided vendored outpatient medical assistance and support care to hiv infected clients including skilled nursing, medication, and counseling for the ongoing management of chronic and acute health conditions. Provided assistance for food, housing, transportation, and home care. Also provided testing to inmates. 287 clients served during the year.
outreach: provided a comprehensive hiv/aids awareness program in the sierra foothills region. Ten outreach activities have taken place including: hiv testing, speaking engagements at schools, county agencies, and other non-profit organizations; participating at college health fairs; between 60 to 200 persons at each event received educational materials and std protection. Provided education to healthcare professionals at 100% of area hospitals.
