I attended a 5 day intensive in Colorado where we were treated amazingly by the host and counselors. I am grateful that a ministry such as this one is available to pastoral couples and missionaries. What I didn't know was they have retreat centers all over the world. We can't say enough about the love, integrity and confidentiality of this ministry!

Mission: To bring healing and restoration to pastoral couples, missionaries and ministry leaders who are wounded due to full-time ministry anywhere in the world where there is an un met need.
Programs: 2016 accomplishmentsintensives: approximately 65% of budgetthe primary purpose of shepherds heart ministry is to do counseling with pastors, missionaries, and ministry leaders who are burned out in ministry, experiencing moral failure or their marriages are in trouble at our counseling centers in colorado, michigan in the us, canada; israel; and mexico. Secured a new retreat center in israel. In 2016, we conducted a total of 23 week-long intensives as well as on-going follow-up sessions and in some cases, week to week counseling with leaders. Prevention: approximately 25% of budgetthe second purpose behind the crisis intervention is prevention. Shm conducts marriage conferences, leadership conferences, and does training with various pastoral & missionary groups and church staffs for the purpose of teaching prevention skills so that crisis does not occur. Those prevention sessions occurred in: israel, us, canada, and mexico in 2016. They included eco national conference, caregivers national conference, mlr national conference, and marriage & pornography conferences in israel as well as lay-counseling programs on marriage, blended families and personality in the us. Training: approximately 5% of budgettraining for counselors and host couples in canada, israel, mexico and the us utilizing cameras for direct observation (with signed permission) by counselors of intensives and direct observation of trainers of the counselors in training. Continued developing on-line training program for counselors in the intensive model intensive model and the hcm model. Pastoral care by phone: approximately 5% of budgetproviding pastoral care for pastors and spouses by phone for denominations.
