Mission: SHE-IS mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and empowered environment where victims of sexual abuse and sex trafficking can strengthen though true worth the "Power of Dance".
Results: We have taught dance to over 300 young women and 8 non-profits in the Los Angeles surrounding area. Our non-profit has expanded to to provide dance classes to young women in New York, San Francisco, and San Diego. She-Is has traveled to Cambodia and Thailand to work directly with young ladies who have been rescued from the sex trade industry and red light districts. The ladies we teach love to dance! We know we make a positive impact on their daily lives and try to restore something that was taken from them at too young an age; their youth.
Target demographics: Young women between the ages of 10-18 years of age.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Last year, we taught dance classes to over 300 young women who learned to gain confidence over their bodies through the healing power of dance.
