Mission: The ned & kayla skinner guild was founded in 1989 to support seattle children's hospital (a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt hospital) by raising awareness and funds for the uncompensated care program, which helps guarantee that children at seattle children's hospital receive the best care regardless of ability to pay. In 2014, funds raised by the guild supported the seattle children's research institute, which is a division of the hospital dedicated to making breakthrough discoveries that help prevent, treat, and eliminate childhood disease.
Programs: The ned & kayla skinner guild is a member of the seattle children's hospital guild association, a tax-exempt fundraising entity of seattle children's hospital. The hospital provides pediatric patient care, medical research, teaching of pediatric residents and other healthcare providers, as well as advocacy for children in the pacific northwest. In 2014, the guild held an evening with the winemakers in woodinville, washington. The event raised funds benefiting cancer research programs of the seattle children's research institute.
