Mission: The eastside friends for children's guild was founded in 2001 to support seattle children's hospital (a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt hospital) by raising awareness and funds for the uncompensated care program, which helps guarantee that children at seattle children's hospital receive the best care regardless of ability to pay.
Programs: The eastside friends for children's guild is a member of the seattle children's hospital guild association, a tax-exempt fundraising entity of seattle children'shospital. The hospital provides pediatric patient care, medical research, teaching of pediatric residents and other healthcare providers, as well as advocacy for children in the pacific northwest. In fiscal year 2017 the eastside friends for children's guild hosted its annual girls' night out at inglewood golf club in kenmore, washington. The evening consisted of hors d'oeuvres, desserts, wine, live and silent auctions, as well as sales of votives. The event raised funds primarily benefiting the uncompensated care program of the hospital. These funds fulfill the guild's mission by providing financial assistance to patients based upon family need and hospital resources.
