Mission: The mission of sculpture evergreen is to cultivate a program of sculpture acquisition, sculpture walks, education, and other public activities to beautify public buildings and open spaces and encourage the expression and appreciation of sculpture. We serve the same area as evergreen parks and recreation district that includes the communities of evergreen, kittredge, marshdale and indian hills.
Programs: Sculpture walk - installed 17 sculptures throughout evergreen area. They are open to the public for viewing and art appreciation 24/7. It is difficult to estimate the number of people that see these sculptures but we estimate over 50,000 people of all age groups. Permanent sculptures - installed and purchased over the 26 year history 34 permanent sculptures throughout the evergreen community. They are open to the public at no cost for viewing and art appreciation 24/7. It is difficult to estimate the number of people that see these sculptures but we estimate over 50,000 people of all age groups. Education - during the year we host various groups for sculpture tours and talks with the artists. We also have special art shows for young people. In addition, each year we host special needs kids to have them create sculptures with blocks, pipe cleaners.
