Causes: Animals, Environment, Wildlife Preservation & Protection
Mission: Save Our Sonoran, founded in 2000, began as a neighborhood group attempting to save a 608-acre parcel of pristine Sonoran Desert land, known as Section 16, from the Arizona State Land Department's auction block. During our legal challenges, we discovered we were not alone in our fight. We are working towards educating more members of the community and uniting with other groups, throughout the state, to have a larger voice in how our state trust lands are disposed of and for what purpose.
