I made a donation and was absolutely astonished when I got a personal, handwritten note from a board member AND a personal phone call. Wow, this is what organizations are supposed to do but no one ever seems to. I have been really impressed by the quality of the concerts, and how enjoyable they make the whole experience. I think this is a top-notch organization.

Mission: To be a highly respected symphony orchestra, performing great works with passion and excellence. To be an indispensable partner to our community, providing enrichment through inspiring concerts, music education programs and access for all.
Programs: Season program: consists of 14 subscription concerts performed between october and may with one standalone concert for new year's eve. Total season attendance was approximately 15,000 people.
annual concerts: new year's eve concert had an audience of approximately 1,412 people.
santa barbara symphony music education center: free programs for students in grades 4-6 that introduce students to the instruments and the orchestra - with a music van that visits schools and concerts for young people. Low cost or free programs for students aged 9-18 to perform with others in a group setting - string workshop, junior strings, youth symphony. Free school demonstration from guest artists that are performing with the orchestra. All of these programs combine to reach over 5,000 young people in santa barbara county.
