Mission: Saddle Pals, founded in 1992, offers a recreational therapy that uses the horse, its relationship with the rider, and the activities associated with horseback riding as rehabilitative tools. Therapeutic horsemanship has been used to relax tight muscles, improve balance and coordination, increase strength and endurance, and improve memory, manual dexterity, and attention span. Our program may be beneficial for individuals with such conditions as: Down Syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, emotional disturbance, sensory integrative disorders, depression, developmental delay, traumatic brain injury, eating disorders, and learning disabilities. The activities we provide are challenging, fun, and rewarding.
