Mission: The rose house helps adults with developmental disabilities pursue full, active lives by providing them and their families with: 1) innovative choices for living and learning - 2) opportunities for independent living to the full extent of ones's ability and desire and 3) individual-based support in navigating program and living options
Programs: Provided persons with developmental disabilities the opportunity to pursue full, active lives by providing them with innovative choices for living and learning, including residential, social and competitive employment options; opportunities for desire; and individual based support in navigating program and living options. In november 2003, the organization accomplished a major milestone by opening a group home for 4 adult women. Each worked or attended day programs during the work week and participated in a wide variety of social and recreational activities on their own and as a household during their free time. The organizations employment training program continued this year. This allows the staff to focus on the employment training programs. The clients learn basic job skills in both the restaurant and catering services to area businesses, schools, and non-profit organizations.
