Causes: Community Coalitions
Mission: Rockford sharefest exists to identify, develop and lead projects that empower and release volunteers and donors to use their god-given gifts, abilities and resources to make an impact for the common good. Rockford sharefest is bringing help and hope with no strings attached.
Programs: During 2017, rockford sharefest carried out two major projects. The first was the june 2nd-10th levings park rockford sharefest summer project. This nine day effort provided a major make-over and restoration of levings park & lake. It involved 1,500 volunteers providing over 12,000 hours of volunteer service. The second, occurring in november, was the holiday decoration of downtown rockford and support of the subsequent 5th annual stroll on state celeberation which was attended by 83,000 people.
