Mission: Ralph Waldo Emerson once stated “Some people see things and ask why but I see things as though they were and ask why not. Herein lays the cornerstone belief and principle that guides Robert Jamison Ministries. Our mission is simply ‘’HELPING PEOPLE” by teaching those less fortunate to realize their potential and understand that with the right resources their dreams can and will become a reality. We provide the resources and services based on the needs of individual and families.
Results: Currently, Robert Jamison Ministries (RJM) provides services to many families and children that are considered at-risk, live in poverty and high traffic crime areas throughout the Louisville community. Services and programs include Employment Training and Placement Program assisting persons to have access to meaningful employment in partnership with Integrity Staffing, Nehemiah Empowerment Program that provides substance abuse/mental health counseling, group therapy sessions and support group meetings for the entire family; Ex-offender/Reentry Program fulfilling the needs of ex-offenders being released from the prison and corrections institutions; and Family Empowerment and Educational services/resources. Another one of our anchor programs is our Annetta B Haygood Art and Music Academy with the vision of providing access to the art through educational structures that help to develop discipline, encouragement and positive decision making skills for youth and young adults. The main components include drama/theatre, music and dance. RJM offers comprehensive Youth Services/Programs with a targeted age of 6-18 that requires parent participation. Our Health and Wellness Program deals with every aspect of the human body and mind.
