Respectability

Programs: National employment program for people with disabilities: education and advocacy since 2013, respectability has become a go-to place for user-friendly and accessible training, free webinars, toolkits, and resource guides on best-practice employment methods for people with disabilities and their potential employers. We have met 1-on-1 with 46 governors to educate and advocate for the use of best practices to increase educational obtainment and job opportunities for people with disabilities. We have responded in writing on all 50 state workforce innovation and opportunity act (wioa)plans and introduced many state workforce boards and governors to proven work-based training projects for people with disabilities. We have published dozens of op-eds on disability employment and advanced news media coverage on the topic. Since we were founded, there has been a 4-fold increase in the number of new jobs for people with disabilities.

national leadership program: this leadership program is a semester-long fellowship that prepares diverse college students and recent graduates to become future leaders and to advocate for and with people with disabilities.
