Causes: Developmentally Disabled Centers, Disabilities, Human Services
Mission: As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Real Life Colorado empowers, supports and connects individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with resources to actualize a full and healthy “Real Life” in the community. We strive for the day when individuals with IDD fully achieve and live out their dreams. Our work improves the physical and mental health of families and individuals with IDD, including Autism in two programs: Our Navigators guide our community in accessing systems such as: Employment services, Medicaid benefits, Social Security options, mental health choices, dental care, community-based programs, and in-home support services for their loved one with IDD. Our Learning Zone academic program teaches students with IDD the skills they need to engage in the world through specialized instruction in literacy, communication, and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math).

We offer virtual and in-person guidance for all aspects of employment for the IDD community and are committed to the success of all individuals. By using a customized approach, we develop an individualized employment plan based upon the unique talents and circumstances for each person.
