Mission: The institute seeks to: o translate research findings into new clinical tests and treatments to improve patient outcomes. O enhance the knowledge in this field among current and future healthcare providers. O generate and share data and discoveries with other researchers.
Programs: The entity was originally established 1) to engage in scientific medical research to find cures and treatments for diseases and disorders which affect children; 2) to develop clinical programs and techniques for the treatment of children with physiological or mental disorders, and for handicapped children; 3) to engage in, carry on, and conduct clinical research to discover and implement multidisciplinary methods and techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric and adolescent onset of diseases, disorders, and learning disabilities; 4) to research adult onset diseases, disorders, and disabilities for which this corporation develops special techniques or expertise based on its experiences with pediatric and adolescent patients; and 5) to publish theses, bulletins, dissertations and other works in pediatric health care and diagnosis written by personnel of this corporation or others, and to otherwise disseminate and make freely available to the general public the results and applications of the fundamental and applied research and analytical studies performed by this corporation.
