I am incredibly impressed by the dedication and impact of DALIT SOLIDARITY. Their unwavering commitment to their mission and vision has made a significant difference in the lives of so many individuals and communities. The team's passion, transparency, and innovative approach to problem-solving are truly commendable. I have witnessed the positive changes they have brought about through their various programs and initiatives. Their work not only addresses immediate needs but also fosters long-term sustainability and empowerment. I earnestly encourage others to join in their efforts to create a better world.
Dalit Solidarity has its focus on empowering the economically impoverished and socially discriminated. True to its name, the organization offers empowering education and for the rural people health care as both of them are costly for the common folk.
The commitment of the ogranization is inspiring so many who, especially the beneficiaries, would become later leaders with social responsibility and they would, in turn, offer their help to empower their fellow human beings who are underserved or unserved.
I am happy that I share the view of the founder and the board members and I appreciate their visiion and commitment.
Truly speaking, several thousands of poor and deserving families and their children benefit from this society Dalit Solidarity. It is evident through the Education institution where several hundred of students graduate every year. Personally speaking, I referred few families at their desperate situation and the founder and Directors of Dalit Solidarity; Fr. Benjamin Chinnappan and Mrs. Vincent and Mrs. Leens, extended immediate help for the families. I could see several families getting help for their critical situation. May God bless them all the donors, without them poor children and people will not get any benefit.
I am very happy to see a trust which is working for the poor the need and the downtrodden in the society. I have witnessed and I too have benefited from this trust. I thank the founder and the members for their selfless service to the people. I am now studying higher studies it is because of this trust. It is really helpful the person those who are in need. I see this trust activity from 2004 onwards. I thank you somuch

We all just need more people like Dalith Solidarity and more organizations like these NGOs if we wish to make this very society an ideal one for all of us to live in.
I'm indeed glad to note my deep experience with Dalith Solidarity. I'm Fr George Anand belonging to the Precious Blood Missionaries serving at
Bargur is a village located in Anthiyur Taluk of Erode district in Tamil Nadu. under the Diocese of Ooty.
Around 470 families reside in Bargur village. Bargur village is administered by Sarpanch (Head of village) who is elected every five years. The total geographical area of village is 5522.46 hectares. Bargur has a total population of 17,529 peoples, out of which male population is 8,989 while female population is 8,540. Literacy rate of Bargur village is 48.17%.
Bargur is a hill station and situated amidst reserve forest. Scheduled castes constitute 2.59% of the total population. Scheduled tribes constitute 12.95% of the total population The scheduled tribes (ST) people are inhabitated in the 33 tribal hamlets of the forest area. The hill tribes of Bargurare Uralis, Sholigars, Malayalees and Kattunayakans. The houses of the tribals are grouped together. These hamlets are not very far apart. The people live in huts made of bamboo with mud plaster and roofs thatched with grass.
Climate is characterized by dry weather throughout the year, except during the monsoons, when it receives high rainfall. Residing amidst forest the tribal people lack in basic amenities especially drinking water and water for agriculture and house hold needs.
The poor tribals have to walk 2 kilometers to fetch water and poor women have to depend on the only hand pump available in the village. It was very tough for the women for all the families have to get water, do house hold chores and also take up their daily wages.
The Missionaries of the Precious Blood working with the tribal community felt the issue of water scarcity and decided to help the deprived tribal community with borewell and proposed this project.
Bargur, the tribal village was chosen to dig a bore well to help minimum 200 tribal families to get regular supply of water. Having proposed the project to Dalith Solidarity and got sanctioned, the local water diviners through their practical experience identified the place of water source. Based on this, borewell was dug. Water seeped at a depth of 820 feet. Pipes were laid for 780 feet. An over head tank with water capacity of 2000 litres were erected. Three phase Borewell motor was fixed to pump water to the water tank. The work was completed within two months.
When we saw water at a depth of 820 feet everyone felt very happy. It was a very good moment to get water in the place where we dug. The water is very good and like spring water. It helps more than 200 families in the tribal community.
Water scarcity issue addressed for the most deprived tribal community of Bargur village
Bore well dug and water tank erected. Women need not depend on hand pump anymore
200 families are regularly supplied with water
The problem of drinking water and needs addressed
Health of the tribal community through proper water supply assured
Time spent by women reduced as they need not wait in queues to fetch one or two buckets of water.
Any time they can come and fetch water as it is stored in water tank
The women need not use hand pump to fetch water which again reduces their burden. All the credit, therefore, goes to Dalith Solidarity
I sincerely Thank Dalith Solidarity who really helped for this noble cause.
yours sincerely

Dalit Solidarity is true humanitarian service that fully active among the downtrodden in the poor villages in India. Very specially giving support for food, shelter, education, clean water facilities, medical care and working for basic human rights for the Dalits. Hundreds of families get regular support and they fell their self esteem and respect in and around the Caste Society. This project visits all the beneficiaries every year personally to further support them to achieve their goals. I wish many join hand with this mission of Love and respect to each individual who is longing for self respect to move forward in the sickening caste oriented society.

I have had the privilege of witnessing the incredible impact of Dalit Solidarity on the lives of poor children, and I can't express enough how profoundly grateful I am for their unwavering support.
Dalit Solidarity is not just an organization; it's a beacon of hope for the most vulnerable members of our society. Through their tireless efforts, they have opened doors to a brighter future for countless underprivileged children. Their commitment to education is nothing short of remarkable. By providing scholarships, building schools, and conducting literacy programs, Dalit Solidarity has transformed the lives of these young souls.
What strikes me the most is their dedication to breaking the cycle of poverty and discrimination. Dalit Solidarity doesn't merely offer a handout; they provide a hand-up. They empower these children with the tools they need to carve out their own destiny. It's not just about giving them a fish; it's about teaching them to fish, ensuring a sustainable change that ripples through generations.
In a world where many children are still denied the opportunities they deserve, Dalit Solidarity is a shining example of what is possible when we come together to uplift the most marginalized. I am humbled and inspired by their work and look forward to seeing the continued impact they will make on the lives of poor children in the years to come.

A charity giving voice to the voiceless! Dalit Solidarity gives volunteering opportunities to have field experience, travel exposure, teaching and clinical experience. Both short and long-term volunteering and internship opportunities are possible with us to get the best out of your experience. Dalit Solidarity provides a great opportunity to experience Dalit Reality and to live with the Dalits to know them better.
I know Rev. Fr. Benjamin Chinnappan for 50 years who is a close friend and companion of mine, founder of Dalit Solidarity in San Diego, California. Dalit Solidarity, is a non-profit charity which was established in 2000 in the US to promote equality and justice for Dalits who have been tyrannized for centuries under caste oppression.
For the past two decades, Dalit Solidarity has reached out to marginalized communities in India, Sri Lanka, Malawi, Myanmar & Ukraine through various humanitarian programs such as education, health care and development.
Dalit Solidarity was invited to attend the 2023 Regular Session, Committee on NGOs at United Nations Headquarters, New York. Through various initiatives, Dalit Solidarity strives to provide healthcare and educational services to underprivileged families locally and globally who cannot afford them.
Having been brought up in a Roman Catholic poor Dalit community in a downtrodden village, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Chinnappan always felt a deep sense of responsibility towards serving and supporting the desperate poor people.
Throughout his spiritual career, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Chinnappan has contributed in providing healthcare and educational services to poor families who cannot afford them. Through Dalit Solidarity, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Chinnappan is supporting the marginalized community in India through economically, socially and psychological well-being of Srilankan people who were dislocated from their homeland.
In addition, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Chinnappan has conducted several health camps for the recovery of AIDS patients, as well as contributed to the development of various facilities such as repairing the football court, putting up a new basketball court, and renovating classrooms to facilitate the human and intellectual formation of seminarians - the future priests of the Church.
Rev. Fr. Benjamin Chinnappan can also be called ‘The Mother Teresa of the Millennium’. His service to the poor reflects the service of Mother Teresa and in short he is a heaven for the marginalized community. It is not an exaggerated quote but a naked truth that exposes the deep commitment of Rev. Fr. Benjamin Chinnappan to the Catholic faith and impeccable service to the poor.
I am Fr. S. Arockia doss. I have been educating 183 Dalit girl children since 2015. Unfortunately, the main sponsor of our program, Mother Maria Moryl of Polish origin from the US passed away due to cancer on 2 November 2019. I was put into trouble, the poor village children did not have any other go except me, but I was helpless. Parents called me and they wanted to know what would be the fate of their children. Children were crying after seeing my pathetic condition because their only hope was for me and the sponsorship program.
The children were in various private schools; they gave me a really hard time and they pressured me to pay their bending fees for both schools and hostels. I approached Fr. Benjamin Chinnappan who was ready to pay the fees for children for that year.
Father Benjamin paid the fees for all the children without any hesitation through his Dalit Solidarity. He is the savior of so many children and the NGO’s. He has contributed so much to the betterment of Dalits in the northern side of Tamil Nadu.
Fr. Ben is so simple, friendly, and easy to approach. He is always generous and ready to help those who are in need. He has done a lot for non-Dalit children too. His contribution to Dalit's empowerment is enormous and that could not be explained by words. He is like a suffering servant of Yahweh in the modern time.
St. Peter’s Pontifical Seminary is ever indebted to Dalit Solidarity for their dedicated services over so many years in various fields of liberation and empowerment. We wish to state that through the kind mediation of Rev Fr Benjamin Chinnappan, a great philanthropist and friend of every seminarian, the Dalit Solidarity came forward to help us to have some basic infrastructure facilities like repairing the football court and putting up a new basket ball court and renovation of class rooms to facilitate the human and intellectual formation of Seminarians, the future priests of the Church. Further, Dalit Solidarity is at the service of the down trodden and socially vulnerable people. In fact the movement has come forward to identify the seminarians coming from economically poor background and to help them financially on their way to the Holy Altar. We pray and thank for the ‘Dalit Solidarity’ and wish every success in their mission of creating an egalitarian society where every poor victim will have dignity and self respect. God bless Dalit Solidarity!
Dalit Solidarity is a hope for the Indian untouchables (Dalits), where the children of the marginalized community are getting quality education, where earlier they were deprived of such facilities as fundamental education. I also admire Dalit Solidarity's great support through health care services to provide basic health care to rural communities, especially women.
thank you, Benjamin Chinnappan, sir give, us the opportunity part of humanitarian work.

I am proud to part of Dalit Solidarity ,he gave us hope and love to our village kids and peoples. Thank you Father for your great work in India.
I am very grateful to have crossed paths with Fr. Ben and given the opportunity to help out their incredible organization. Given that he lived through what many Dalits' face from the caste discrimination in India, he knew that in his heart he wanted to help his community have a chance at a better life through Dalit Solidarity. Dalit Solidarity has helped many children have access to education regardless of their identity, skin color, religion, etc because education is one of the greatest gifts that open many doors and should be available to everyone equally. One of the things that will always stick with me from when I interviewed Fr. Ben was that all you need is the good heart that you were born with to make a difference for someone. I know all the kids that this program has helped, appreciate the support so much and are so grateful for having a chance at a better life. Fr. Ben is my inspiration, God bless.
Dalit Solidarity has ensured significant change among the underprivileged and marginalized in terms of economic and educational empowerment through its various development initiatives. We appreciate and honor the immense humanity service and wish them to carry out the same ahead till the sidelined get empowered to the highest.

It is great help for the people. Hope for the hopeless and help for the helpless. Courage for the courageless... On the whole dalit solidarity is a boon for the people .......poor ... Oppressed... Discriminated ....
Pope Benedict told us, “It is a really central message for our time: Mercy as the force of God, as the divine limit against the evil of the world.” Dalit Solidarity serves the poorest most rejected people in their nation. There is no doubt in my mind that Dalit Solidarity is a powerful means of God touching his poor children, answering their cries and supplying for their needs. Please partner with Dalit Solidarity by giving a monthly donation to shine God's mercy through!!!
This is an incredible charity run by a catholic priest who is very holy, compassionate and merciful. He truly ministers to the least of God's people and his projects are so holy, inspiring and worthwhile. If you are looking for a Christ like charity, please consider this one. Dalit Solidarity truly acts as the hands and feet of Christ in his world.
Thank you Father for taking care of the poor and provide education to the under privileged. Great work.
Education and medical care to the underprivileged in Indian villages and remote parts is the need of the hour. That is exactly what Father Benjamin is carrying out all his life and through this non-profit. I wish him and his team a great success in this noble cause. Very happy to donate for this noble cause. Thanks to ground team in India.
I am Fr. Manoj Kumar Nayak, a Catholic Priest of Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Archdiocese, Odisha, India. I belong from Kandhamal district in Odisha where communal violence took place in 2007 and 2008 due to which more than 100 innocent people were killed, more than 6000 houses were looted and burnt into ashes and more than 395 Churches and Worshipping places were desecrated. In the post Kandhamal violence, Dalit Solidarity, USA through Community Care Trust, Tamilnadu encouraged and supported me to start a health clinic in the rural area where very poor dalits and tribal live. With the generous support of Dalit Solidarity I could start "All Saints Rural Health Clinic" and able to serve the poor communities with the health needs. I was supported to construct a building for the clinic, pharmacy and Lab facilities with testing machines, furniture, solar inverter facilities, bore well to cater the water facilities, refrigerator, water purifier, staff support to run the clinic, etc. Dalit Solidarity also has supported three villages (Tiangia and Kattingia in Kandhamal and Deogarh in Sambalpur diocese) with bore wells to solve water crises in the villages and hostel. I also gratefully acknowledge the support of Dalit Solidarity for the dalit empowerment meetings, workshops and travel expenses giving hope and assurance to these most marginalized communities to live a dignified life. I express my gratefulness to Dalit Solidarity and its Board for the great concern and cooperation for the rural poor and marginalized communities. Gratefully acknowledge kindness of Rev. Fr. Benjamin Chinnappan, Mr. Vincent Thiag and Leenus Mam.
Dalit Solidarity has been divinizing the lives of the oppressed with a love-filled hope and courage. My honest appreciation to very Rev. fr. Ben for the arduous efforts to transform the living condition of the abused, distressed, exploited, persecuted, destitute and enslaved. Being rooted infinitely in Christ’s love fr. Ben constantly remains to the world , expressing the kingdom values of our divine Saviour, that our human dignity is a beautiful and powerful gift freely given to us by the Almighty and Eternal God. The catechism of the Catholic Church, draws us all to a complete admiration, while presenting the significant beauty of the HUMAN DIGNITY. “Of all visible creatures only man is able to know and love his Creator. He is the only creature on earth that God has willed for his own sake, and he alone is called to share ,by knowledge and love in God’s own life. It was for this end that human beings were created and this is the fundamental reason for human dignity.
This is the preeminent reason that the Dalit Solidarity as great nonprofit organization takes a mainstay position with those who are entrapped ,materially deprived, and blown out by the evil system of the societies with countless inflicted pains. The poor people in misery, suffer an unbearable situation as negligible, worse, and a pernicious being.Being treated as a person without Human Dignity is always intolerable. My utmost indebtedness for the great sacrifices, dedication and service. Fr.Beny
Dalith solidarity plays a viral role in upbringing of kakkanur and near by village children. It is the cause for the up gradation of higher secondary, whereby ensures these area dalith children for higher education. This service is excellent and marvelous.
I am with Fr. Benjamin, Founder and Director of Dalit Solidarity for more than 40 years. We were together in a boarding school and then in a college. I always appreciate and admire the work done by the charity under his able guidance, and dedicated and tireless support for the oppressed and downtrodden. His priority goes with providing education for underprivileged children. His support for the huge number of families during the Covid pandemic is highly commendable. His support for the Ukraine refugees in bringing them to a safe place by risking his own life is highly commendable. Wherever there is a need, he will extend his support. I am an eyewitness of great work done by Dalit Solidarity through Fr. Benjamin.
Greetings. This is M. John Baptist, from India, Tamil Nadu state, Villupuram. Thank you so much for giving me this wonderful opportunity to review and share my personal experiences with the nonprofit organization called Dalit Solidarity. It is a great charitable trust which I have been experiencing in my life for more than ten years, and I could admire their great services, especially for the Dalits. to promote equality and Justice, because here in India the Dalits have lost their rights to education, inequality, marginalized, castism, below poverty, etc., so, this nonprofit organization has come up with a great seal to work for the poor people. Here I just want to express my gratitude that my family and I have benefited more and more through this organization especially when I was sick and affected by TB they helped me and for my higher studies B.Ed., they helped me not only for me, they also helped for my family members especially for my elder brother and sister when they were in sick and also thousands and thousands of people are getting benefited through is organization. So, my sincere thanks to the founder of this trust Rev. Dr. Benjamin Chinnappan for his generosity, and kindness to help poor families and school children, because he always worries about poor families, uneducated people, poor children's education, etc., and also I thank all the trustee members, benefactors, sponsors, and supporters for their dedication and full commitment to do service for the poor and needy.
This is an excellent non profit charity that was founded and is managed by a very humble priest. The mission is so holy and inspiring. It's a charity that helps the poorest of the poor in India, the Dalit community. The people Father Ben helps are not only poor but they are mistreated often by society. There is a great need to help these people and Father Ben works tirelessly to provide for them even though he is a full time priest!
I worked with Dalit Solidarity in January of 2021. I got to closely witness the on-ground work the organization was doing for Dalit communities, especially widowed Dalit women. The values of this nonprofit are based on working with communities and meeting them where their needs lie. This was reflected in the various educational and development programming they'd been doing.
Father Ben, alongside Leenus and Vincent, was kind enough to plan this experience with me and connect with the staff in the schools and the local organization, Community Care Trust. Forever grateful for the experience.

Congratulations and Thanks to this organisation for doing outstanding work for the oppressed people in the especially the work did was amazing during the first wave and second of the corona in India.
Dalit Solidarity is one of the genuine NGOs functioning in US and through which, it has been helping many poor and marginalized people in India. The NGO stands for its dedicated leadership and generous spirit of its founder Fr. Benjamin Chinnappan who commits himself fully to raise funds to help the needy in many places. The DALIT SOLIDARITY concentrates mainly on serving widows, sick , very poor, differently able, helpless women, aged people, unemployed, poor students through a school and helpless sick through a hospital.
The founder, Fr. Benjamin always tells that he gets funds freely and gives out freely to the needy. This is the true spirit of a charitable society that has been on with helping others through its wings, stretching out widely everywhere, finding the deserving people and lifting them up both socially and economically. I was part of Dalit’s Solidarity’s organization in India (St.Patrick’s Matriculation School in Villupuram). I was the principal of the school for two years and witnessed that Dalit Solidarity is too generous to educate students free of cost in a matriculation school, which is a strange act in India. Many poor students have come up in life through the help of Dalit Solidarity. May God bless the team and its founder to help many more through the generous benefactors of US. May God bless us.

I am so pleased to have associated with this Charity for the past 10 years. Father Ben and his team do an outstanding job in serving the poor kids and the needy communities all over the world, specifically in the United States and India. I was very humbled to meet his team in India during a visit and to see the fantastic work they do in educating poor kids and providing free healthcare through their primary health clinic. I would strongly encourage my fellow Americans to support this charity in their mission of serving our fellow humans through their selfless service, education and healthcare offerings. We need more people like Father Ben to build and run such charities. Thank you for all your services Father Ben! God bless you!
Father Ben is a very holy and compassionate Priest, whose charity & mission reflects the heart of Christ's Gospel! He helps the least of God's people in their distress and time of need. His charity and all the work he does are so inspiring. He sends out newsletters with updates to let donors know how their donations are used and he manages all this while also working as a Priest and Chaplain. Father Ben and his charity truly work as the enlightening hands and feet of Christ in this often dark world. I love donating because I know it is what Christ calls us to do!
Your service to poor Dalit is very great father. You have educated thousands of poor Dalit children and youth. And thousands of poor families have benefited through your "Dalit Solidarity". May your service continue to grow so that many more poor will benefit out of it. Best wishes for your service to humanity. God bless you and your collaborator.

My wife and I are pleased to continue our support for Dalit Solidarity and St. Mother Teresa English Medium School by Father Gudime located in Southern India. Father’s school provides his students and families a truly hopeful future amidst caste struggles, religious discrimination, poor socio economic conditions and the pandemic.
My relationship with Dalit Solidarity began after I had made several visits to India, two of which included the state of Tamil Nadu where the majority of Dalit Solidarity’s work takes place. I had been aware of Untouchability before but not to the extent that it still impacts the lives of Dalits to this day. Learning more and seeing it up close, I wanted to help in some way. India has given me so much and it was time to give something in return. I became a sponsor of a little boy who attends St Patrick’s Academy. Father Ben is wonderful. We have spoken at length several times on the phone and I can feel the personal love he brings to the organization. I highly recommend Dalit Solidarity for your charitable gifts.
Fr. Ben is a blessing to the "untouchables" of India, bringing the love of Christ to them and an opportunity to be educated and providing health care and basic needs. May God continue to bless this work. John Rossi
Fr. Benjamin Cihinappan is a blessing for thousands of underprivileged kids from the marginalized community in South India. I am amazed by his determination and his hunger to lift the fellow human beings from poverty by providing education to the kids who are very successful in their life. Praying to God to give him good health and long life to continue his services through his non profitable organization.
Dalit Solidarity.... has done so much... with so little... but with SO MUCH FAITH.. PRAYER.. and LOVE.. they have built a prayer Grotto and a School in the name of a beautiful teenager named Kaitlyn who was taken from her family and friends way too soon... This charity though has kept her memory alive forever and has built a school in India to educate young women and help them move up in their "system". Help them get an education to expand their mind and help others in India and beyond.. This was all done in only short period of time, and the Dalit Solidarity has been able to do this by speaking to people all over the world.. and we remember this beautiful young women Kaitlyn through this wonderful charity!
L0VE is constant, evident, and powerful as God’s goodness shines forth from Fr. Ben and the Dalit Community. All my experiences have drawn me, along with others closer to GOD in unbreakable LOVE. Thank you!

I have know Fr. Ben for many years and I continue to be a financial supporter of Dalit Solidarity because of its good and effective work with children, widows, and those most in need.
