Mission: The corporation is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educationalpurposes within the meaning of code section 501(c)(3). Specifically, the purposes of the corporation are:1. To promote, encourage, and develop research, scholarship and teaching related to the experience of puerto ricans in the us. 2. To organize educational and community activities and publications which advancethe careers of puerto rican educators and professionals. 3. To encourage intellectual and professional exchanges with other organizationsconcerned with similar goals in the broader latino community. 4. To create and develop effective vehicles to connect the scholarship regarding puerto ricans with the growing needs of that community
