Mission: Central to our purpose in producing the Scribbling Women series is the belief that the contributions American women writers have made to our literary heritage have been under-acknowledged at best and, at worst, completely ignored. We know from the high school teachers we meet in our workshops that there is a real need for materials on American women writers in their classrooms.
