Causes: Education, Parent & Teacher Groups
Mission: Utah pta will help every child realize his or her full potential and will support and speak on behalf of children and youth, encourage positive involvement in all facets of a child's life, and assist in developing skills to raise and protect children and youth.
Programs: Leadership development: assisting pta leaders and potential leaders to develop the skills and knowledge to successfully promote the health and welfare of utah's children and encourage collaboration among parents, schools, and communities. Approximately 700 local, council, and region pta units operate in communities throughout the state.
membership services: servicing the aproximately 120,000 pta members in utah and the units to which they belong through promotional meterials about pta's mission, newsletter, the utah pta website, local area meetings and programs, and office space providing a central clearinghouse for information.
student involvement: providing secondary students throughout utah with information and programs specifically for their age-group, including a state student board, the annual battle of the bands, and safe graduation night activities. Student involvement efforts are directed by one of seven commissioners who each focus on aspects of the health and welfare of children throughout utah.
