Mission: MCU believes that all individuals who seek midwifery education should be able to access it. Unfortunately, too often, this is not a reality, and midwifery education, along with the midwifery profession at-large, suffers without diverse communities and representation. We want to raise $50,000 in order to continue to offer our complete tuition relief scholarships that allow underrepresented students to obtain a bachelor's degree in midwifery. As certified professional midwives rise to serve childbearing individuals during the Covid-19 pandemic, now, more than ever educating midwives to serve diverse communities is imperative.
Geographic areas served: Midwives College of Utah's (MCU) mission is to build midwives of technical expertise, professional excellence, and personal greatness—namely Midwives of Excellence®. MCU midwives will be pivotal in the “tipping" revolution of maternity care and birth culture throughout North America in the 21st century. MCU's method for building Midwives of Excellence® is to meld professional and leadership education. Professional education prepares students for expertise in their chosen profession; leadership education teaches students “how" to think. Graduates from MCU serve a spectrum of people from many different economic and social levels, providing excellent primary maternity care for prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum periods.

MCU has offered my an education, from my home, that far exceeded my expectations. The opportunity to learn from midwifes across the globe is an invaluable experience. The professionals giving of their time to produce midwives of excellence are truly exceptional.
I donate regularly to Midwives College of Utah because I believe in their mission of providing a high-quality education for people to become midwives. Now more than ever, we need midwives to help resolve the current healthcare crisis in the United States. MCU alumni have a well-rounded education and understand all aspects of the Midwives Model of Care.

Dedicated group of teachers, educators and mentors who bring excellence to the midwifery community and advocacy for maternal and fetal wellness for all communities across the globe.
I received my associate's degree and my bachelor's degree from Midwives College of Utah. I loved being a student there! Their online platform made it easier for me as a single mom to have the flexibility to fit school into my busy life. I appreciated that they are student-focused and committed to reducing racial and socioeconomic disparities within the midwifery field. Not only did I receive a vibrant education, but MCU also helped me to develop into a better member of my local community.
