I participated in their Managing for Success program. It was evident that the organization is committed to building strong nonprofit leaders. Their commitment, expertise, and passion come through in their quality programming. They are also committed to equity in the nonprofit sector with very practical tools for making it a reality.
ProInspire, a woman-founded and led organization with an equity focus, provides high-caliber management and leadership training for nonprofit/social sector professionals. From start to finish, my recent participation in the ProInspire Leadership Institute was an excellent experience. The logistics were handled smoothly, the pre-work was excellent preparation for the training itself, and I really appreciated the training itself--the materials, other participants (and willingness to acknowledge the wisdom in the room), facilitation, interactive activities, and practical tools I could put to work as soon as I returned to my organization.
Fantastic training + professional development experience with ProInspire through their Managing 4 Success fellowship. Can't recommend their programs enough.
This was an exceptional two-day leadership training that I wish any and every non-profit leader could attend.
I had a life- and career-changing experience with the ProInspire Leadership Institute. Sandy and Sherry's insight helped me to reflect on the leader and the person I am and want to become. I can't thank them enough for their wisdom!
I first learned about ProInspire when one of my colleagues became a member of their Fellowship program. As I learned more about ProInspire’s work around leadership and equity, I became very invested in their work around how to talk about current events at work and how to support nonprofit professionals. I find their research incredibly compelling and relatable and I would encourage anyone involved in the social sector to check out their thought leadership! Next on my reading list is Equity in the Center’s publication, Awake to Woke to Work: Building a Race Equity Culture! (Equity in the Center is a project of ProInspire)
ProInspire jump started my career. The team provides essential guidance for success and impact in the nonprofit sector. The career pathway defined while I was a fellow helped me gain the skills and experience to achieve my professional goals.
This is a nearly 10 year young non-profit that has evolved to meet the needs of the sector and its constituents over the course of my involvement with ProInspire since 2014. The work of ProInspire is foundational and critical to the health of the sector and its ability to serve society and improve on social ills, and I am honored to have been chosen for one of its programs as a participant and now to work closely with the organization. Excited to see where the next 10 years take the organization.
As a member of the ProInspire Network, I can speak to the quality of programming ProInspire provides. ProInspire continues to support those interested in transition sectors, places equity in the center of the conversation, and builds a national network of socially-minded individuals. I couldn't more proud to be an alumni of one of ProInspire's programs.

I joined ProInspire as a 2016 Fellow. Through my experience I have been able to navigate the social sector, understanding the complexities of my position, and better manage the demands placed on me in the workplace. Additionally, I have made a group of close friends from this cohort experience that will last a lifetime! Thank you ProInspire for everything!
Participated in a M4S cohort in 2017. It was so helpful as a new manager but I didn't expect that it would give me such an opportunity to reflect on myself as an individual, professional and colleague. Highly recommend.
My organization has also greatly benefited from their Equity in the Center work and used it internally to spark discussion and lead change.
I partook in the Management Fellowship and found the course to be very valuable. Not only did it connect me with a great set of peers in the nonprofit industry, but it also gave me the time for self-reflection - something that is often challenging to take the time to do when you're always focused on the day-to-day. The content of the course was interesting and relevant to managers from a variety of different organizations with differing missions, and facilitation of the course was one of it's major strengths as well.
As a Managing for Success participant, I met other amazing leaders in the non-profit field, gained new skills in understanding my own leadership style and learned from others about how to manage others more effectively. I look back on the experience and am just thankful to have had the time to practice, connect with others and reconnect with myself.
ProInspire Fellowships place young business professionals into strategy roles in nonprofits and social enterprises. I was a ProInspire Fellow in 2011, and my year-long fellowship with ProInspire gave me a curated, safe space to explore how my talents, skills and knowledge could support and grow the social impact sector and its aims. ProInspire also expanded their scope to strengthen leadership for change, catering to strengthen and support leaders and managers in the social impact sector through personal and professional development and leadership training. Keep up the good work, ProInspire! - Meaghan Casey, CEO Impact Hub Johannesburg (ProInspire Fellow '11)

Hands down, the ProInspire Fellowship experience helped build my dream career in the social sector. As a 2011 ProInspire Fellow placed at an international development nonprofit FHI 360, I learned strategy and planning to support long-term global health and education initiatives. Armed with enhanced skills and experience, I graduated from the fellowship and moved to Mumbai to work with inspiring social entrepreneurs and their businesses in India. ProInspire is an opportunity for bright, young professionals to begin TODAY to make a difference in their life, professional career, and the world.
I was a 2016-17 ProInspire fellow, and it was an incredible journey. The amount of professional and personal development provided to us as well as the network and resources were phenomenal. The support from Monisha, Kristen, and the entire ProInspire team as well as my cohort in Washington DC really helped me navigate through the challenges of getting into and working in the social impact world, making my year a success.
After graduating this program, I moved to San Francisco for grad school and the alumni network has continued to hone in on my professional and personal aspirations, while helping me achieve my potential in creating impactful change in new ways I never thought of.
ProInspire's Managing for Success program helped me improve my communication skills, increase my self-awareness, and grow as manager. As a result, I delivered better results at work, I strengthened relationships with the people in my life (including my boss and colleagues), and was granted more responsibility and higher compensation. I can honestly say this training enabled me to become a happier human being and feel more fulfilled in life.
While I'm sure this isn't the case for everyone they serve, it's clear that ProInspire is helping the sector build a stronger workforce through their relevant, applicable, and affordable services.
ProInspire helped me to grow into a leadership role at my nonprofit. I appreciated the efforts they took to connect me with peers, encourage personal and professional growth, and be responsive to my learning and development needs.
ProInspire offered me training and networking to transition my career into the non-profit sector, and I somewhat tentatively applied to take part in their program. I found that the network I built exceeded my expectations from both personal and professional standpoints. I now have a group of people I can discuss with and rely upon to help me manage my career, as well as my priorities, my goals, and the steps I take each day to realize them. The training didn't just prepare me to understand and navigate non-profit boards, finance, and management, but gave me a better understanding of how non-profits fit into the landscape of my industry. ProInspire gave me more than information, they gave me experience. Thanks ProInspire.

My experience with ProInspire changed my thinking about my career, the non-profit sector, and work-life in general. I knew going into my fellowship year that I would receive training and make connections through the organization and my cohort, but I was not prepared for the impact the experience would make on my thinking and decision making. The speakers who came in for training were thoughtful and provocative, and the discussions were engaging. Monisha and her team have developed an asset in ProInspire for leaders in the non-profit sector and for communities across the country.
I was fortunate to be a part of the ProInspire Managing for Success program in 2016. Through this intensive program I learned a lot about managing a team, managing myself and managing upwards. As a new manager with little managerial experience this program helped me build a strong foundation that I have repeatedly returned to in the past year.
ProInspire has also done a great job of keeping in touch with the alumni of its programs and often shares great resources and opportunities which I have found very helpful.
I'm so glad to be a part of the ProInspire family!
ProInspire is one of the best decisions of my career. The Fellowship program provided me with the professional challenge of using my skills for social impact. I graduated with the program with a new passion for impact, new friends with my fellow cohort, and a stronger network.
ProInspire provides applicable, real-life training for nonprofit professionals that goes above and beyond! I've had the privilege of being a part of 3 of their trainings and each time I'm impressed by them. I've now started recommending them to other nonprofit colleagues.
ProInspire does amazing work around leadership, developing managers and building positive, effective and outcome oriented cultures in non-profits. I am truly grateful for being selected and being a part of their Managing for Success Fellowship.
Thank you!
I attended a ProInspire training called "Managing for Success." The instructor and staff were professional and inspired engagement and openness among the attendees. I would recommend ProInspire and their trainings to colleagues and friends.
ProInspire does an amazing job of finding and bringing together talented individuals who want to transition into the nonprofit sector. It was a great experience being a ProInspire fellow and recommend others to apply!
ProInspire supports leaders and aspiring managers in the Social Sector to maximize their potential through innovative professional development opportunities. As a ProInspire Fellow in 2015, I connected and built on-going relationships with peers and thought leaders in the industry who've contributed to focus my skills and interest to areas of most impact. Through the Fellowship, I learnt new skills as a manager and further understood current and emerging trends in social sector leadership. ProInspire is a best in class organization!
As ProInspire Fellow, I was afforded the privilege to enter the non-profit field with ease through placement and trainings for a transition that would have otherwise been difficult. Over the course of the year, my cofellows and I were provided great professional training applicable for non-profit work and/or moving into other fields. As young professionals, the experience was invaluable for career growth and personal development.
I have worked and volunteered with ProInspire for the last six years. Monisha Kapila is an amazing example of a transformational leader. From idea to now brilliant inception, she has built and nurtured an organization that provides an important resource to the social sector: leaders.
The ProInspire team is top notch and a joy to work with and the work they do to be agile and innovative should be studied by every nonprofit.
ProInspire is an organization marking a definitive positive imprint on changing the world.
The ProInspire Fellowship afforded me the opportunity to transition my career, providing support, training, resources, and a cohort of other fellows from whom I learned so much.
ProInspire is an excellent organization for developing leaders to address some of the most pressing social challenges in the world. Completing the ProInspire Fellowship Program transformed my thinking around challenges that under served communities face around the world. The Program afforded me the opportunity to meet a bright community of colleagues who I have learned so much from. The training resources and professional development opportunities that I was exposed to as a result of participating in ProInspire are unparalleled. I am so thankful and appreciative for my experience with this organization.
I've worked with ProInspire in several different capacities, and have always been incredibly impressed by the team and the quality of their work! I highly recommend the Managing for Success program. The team-building and individual learning/reflection helped me to develop skills to advance in my career. I've also collaborated with the ProInspire team on several projects to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in the nonprofit sector and am so impressed by their knowledge and dedication to that work.
Great organization that provides opportunity for young professionals in the private sector to make the leap to the social sector!
I have been a ProInspire fellow for about 5 months, and my experience has exceeded all expectations. From the job hunt process to career support, the ProInspire team has been hands-on, responsive, and knowledgeable. Thanks to the intentional fellowship workshops, I'm not only more confident navigating my career but I've also built a strong network in the nonprofit space. I know that the connections I've made with my class, the ProInspire team, alumni, and our speakers will give me a huge advantage going forward in my career.
I was blessed with the experience of being a ProInspire fellow (cohort 2015). Aside from gaining an entrance into the social sector and exploring a career path I am very interested in, the fellowship trainings, mentoring and coaching were invaluable. My leadership skills and self awareness were challenged like never before. I graduated the fellowship with a greater sense of humility and ability to lead at any level within an organization. I look forward to continually engaging with the ProInspire community now that I'm an alumni.

I'm a currently a fellow with ProInspire, an organization that has identified social sector demand for private sector business experience and is cultivating supply. My experience with ProInspire has been everything that I had hoped for and more. The level of talent working within the organization and the participating fellows is infectious (intangibles everywhere).
As Spring 2016 M4S Fellow, I have grown professionally! ProInspire has helped shape the way I think about managing my staff, reporting to my school Principal and how I handle community stakeholders. My school and community partners benefit greatly from the wealth of development I've received from being a ProInspire member. I have recommended ProInspire to my friends, family and other colleagues!
I absolutely loved my experience participating in the Managing for Success Fellowship with ProInspire - so much that I have now referred several of my staff members and look forward to seeing continued impact! ProInspire enabled me to tap into my own strengths as a leader in the non-profit sector and also made me a more effective manager of my team. I have continued my relationship with ProInspire and continued to benefit from their network.
ProInspire is a one of a kind opportunity for business professionals who want to make a social impact. As a 2014 ProInspire fellow, I thoroughly enjoyed my fellowship experience and continued to stay with my partner organization. The ProInspire program, in particular the monthly professional development trainings, helped significantly with the transition. More importantly, they helped me realize my skill set, my strengths, where I can improve, and set concrete goals for my career and a path to get to them. It is truly a great program and I hope it continues to help professionals like me transition to the social impact sector.
I attended a 4 month management training program with ProInspire and was amazed with how much it helped me manage myself and my organization better!
I am 30 years old, and came to ProInspire wanting to pivot my career to the social sector. I knew ProInspire would be a good tool for transitioning successfully into the logistical world of nonprofit, but what I didn't expect was the level of support and encouragement I received during my transition. The team at ProInspire has given me the professional tools to succeed, as well as welcomed me into a supportive network of professionals unlike any other. I commend ProInspire in the vital work that it does, acting as a talent pipeline to the social sector, but also for its success in creating strong, lasting community.
I am a management fellow with ProInspire and I have to say that the experience has been exceptional. When I initially signed up, I was skeptical of yet another management training. On day one of the training, I was amazed by the level of detail and relevance of the training - it was well structured and excellently delivered. From having peer circles to delivering content that I can apply to my day to day management practice, I'm glad that I chose to join the ProInspire community.
ProInspire is a great community to grow as a leader and as a manager. The staff and the other fellows are just a perfect fit.
I was a member of their Spring Managing for Success program. The program helped me to gain essential nonprofit leadership skills including understanding my leadership style, learning how to lead others, managing change, and moving into an executive role. I would highly recommend this nonprofit for anyone wishing to take their leadership skills to the next level.
ProInspire is a great overview of all the main topics that every manager will encounter. It provided a lot of useful tools, tips, and feedback on managing people that I took back with me to the office. It was also wonderful to be surrounded with a group of thoughtful professionals who were able to give me feedback that assisted me personally in navigating a lot of challenging professional situations and conversations successfully.
ProInspire has been absolutely instrumental in helping me transition into the social sector. ProInspire is thoughtful in pairing fellows with their partner organizations utilizing a thorough screening process to help ensure a sound fit for both parties. My experience with ProInspire has also exponentially opened up my network to and my perception of the social sector, which has consequentially broadened my perspective on how I can fit in in the social sector as I think about navigating my career. Beyond the fellowship experience at the partner organization, ProInspire allows you to journey through your transition with like-minded people (who likely become your good friends), making the transition not only professional but personal.
I had the pleasure of participating in the 1st ProInspire Managing 4 Success cohort in 2013. The program is structured for Managers with less than 5 years of experience. Not only was the program an excellent learning experience, it created an amazing network of young professionals in the Washington, DC area. ProInspire is one of those organizations that connects professionals that are hoping to make a significant impact. I would recommend M4S to any colleague and encourage this program as a smooth transition into leadership.
The ProInspire program is a unique combination of theory and hands on activities that prepared me to not only learn new concepts, but to apply those concepts immediately to my work process. ProInspire is the most well thought out training program that I have ever experienced. I appreciate the leadership and the structure and would highly recommend ProInspire to others who manage people or processes.
- Monique Wiley-Crawford, Year Up NCR (2014 DC Management Fellow)
Joining the ProInspire Fellowship was, hands down, one of the best decisions I’ve made. ProInspire allowed me to successfully transition into the nonprofit sector and has significantly expanded both my personal and professional networks. ProInspire gave me not only the opportunity, but also the skills and resources to succeed in my role at my organization. I couldn’t have found a better fit at my placement organization, where I’ve continued to work post-fellowship in a number of capacities. As I’ve grown in my organization, ProInspire has grown with me. After a few months in a Project Manager role, I participated in the Managing for Success program, which allowed me cultivate and refine my management skills to be more intentional and strategic in my management approach. Outside of ProInspire’s programs I was able to build crucial leadership skills through serving on the Board of Directors, the ProInspire Alumni Council, and as an Alumni Coach. In summary, ProInspire has provided me with incredible and life-changing experiences, led me to find and fuel my passion, and connected me with amazing individuals who continue to inspire me everyday. I have been truly impacted by this organization and I cannot recommend ProInspire, its fantastic founder & CEO, Monisha Kapila, and its incredible staff more highly.
I could not be more dissatisfied with both the structure of the fellowship and the placement of fellows. If you are a candidate please reconsider your placement and the "fellowship" opportunity. ProInspire is quite simply concerned with placing as many fellows as it (Monisha) can in order to drive its own bottom-line. Please keep in mind that "ProInspire" is merely a head-hunting agency taking strong for-profit talent and placing said talent into limited roles. ProInspire makes $5000 off each candidate placed, Monisha could not care less about your roll, your impact in the non-profit sector, or your job satisfaction in your "fellowship" roll. I STRONGLY urge candidates to complete necessary research on their host organization. On paper a lot of these roles will be appealing; but, quite often you will be relegated to menial work. Not to mention Monisha will not hesitate to lie to you in order to convince you to take a role in an organization where you may very well be competing against other "co-fellows". Quite frankly this program is solely about generating money for "ProInspire" to continue its "mission"...which is flawed and inherently wasteful. I see no greater stain on the "social sector" than ProInspire; essentially it is a 1 year jumping pad for over-entitled pre-MBA candidates. Your role will not be impactful, the "training sessions" that ProInspire sells you on will be completely useless, and you will be better served staying in your "for-profit" role and applying to either B-School or networking on your own to land a job in the "social sector". If you forgo the low wages of the "fellowship" you will be grateful. Monisha relies on near incestual relationships to keep the "fellowship" alive.

I appreciate you taking time to share your candid review. I sincerely apologize that you had such a negative experience and that you feel as though you were deceived in any way – that was certainly not my intention, and I am interested to learn more about why you feel that way. We designed our program and selection process to increase the likelihood of a solid match between Fellows and partners in roles that provide a meaningful experience in the nonprofit sector; however, it sounds like we missed the mark in your case. We currently have all Fellows interview directly with partners before they are selected, to help them make an informed decision before accepting their placement offer. We also make ProInspire staff and alumni available to discuss the program with ProInspire candidates to help them in the placement process. In our survey of 2013 Fellows, 100% indicated they would choose to be part of the ProInspire Fellowship again if given the opportunity, and 100% indicated the monthly trainings were valuable or extremely valuable in helping them transition to the social sector. Again, I value your feedback and encourage you to reach out to me directly with your thoughts on how we can improve our selection and placement process as well as our training and development approach. Monisha Kapila Founder and CEO mkapila@proinspire.org
I'm a Bay Area ProInspire Fellow and couldn't be more excited about the program. ProInspire provides professional development resources that are second to none which have allowed me to implement strategies and overcome difficulties on the job. I've used my colleagues and mentors in the program to get feedback on ideas and experiences which have resulted in positive outcomes. In addition, the caliber of people involved in ProInspire is humbling and has motivated me to elevate my contribution with my organization.
I could not be happier with my experience in ProInspire. As a 2013 Fellow in DC, I know that my time and talents are being put to great use. They have such a great mission and truly do a great job finding fellows who are perfect for the job.
ProInspire, simply put, creates a unique fellowship experience for fellows and partner organizations--which by extension, expands the overall talent level of the Non-profit sector as a whole. Operating now in both Washington, D.C., and San Francisco, fellows are exposed to professional development opportunities that deepen understanding and competence of those in the program. Though only several years old, founder Monisha Kapila, and the dedicated recruiting staff have found ways to attract top-tier talent into the program, and place those fellows at industry-leading organizations. With roles across the sector, the program gives fellows an opportunity to transition and discern which parts of the vast social sector they are most passionate about, and gives fellows a chance to build and strengthen their networks through targeted development. My experience in the program has been tremendous, and in just several months I feel more competent and confident in my role, and have been able to crystalize my focus in the social sector moving beyond the program. As someone who has several years of non-profit experience, I come at ProInspire from a very unique background, but have been awed at the knowledge and experience of my peers, and truly believe that this program will be a springboard to deeper professional success.
I'm a Fellow in D.C. and couldn't be happier with my ProInspire Experience. As someone passionate about affecting social impact, ProInspire provided me an ideal opportunity to transition my private sector experience into a meaningful career in the social sector. Even beyond the very instrumental professional development opportunities, the people that ProInspire brings together into each fellowship cohort is an endless supply of learning and growing opportunities in and of itself. A 5 Star organization all around.
I am a ProInspire Fellow in San Francisco and absolutely love it! I started earlier than my fellows, so I got to experience the non-profit transition on my own versus with my fellows and I have to say it makes the biggest difference! All of the placement help and coaching is beyond helpful, but truly the friendship and fellowship bonds that are created help sustain the passion that brought us to making this transition - it is truly invaluable. I am excited for the remainder of my fellowship year and continuing to contribute to ProInspire's growth and impact in the future.
ProInspire is an extremely unique and effective organization. It connects the best talent with nonprofits, giving the organization superb talent and working to make sure the next generation of nonprofit leaders are top notch.
I could go into great detail, but simply put, ProInspire has changed my life. Moving from the for-profit sector to the non-profit sector was something I thought I needed to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars (in tuition and salary) and two years to do. The support, networking, and camaraderie are far from comparable to any other organization I know.
ProInspire has equipped me with some great tools to make a meaningful transition into my nonprofit organization. As a current ProInspire Fellow, I'm able to leverage my skills to build organizational capacity while learning from the experiences and feedback of other Fellows. I am impressed by the efforts ProPinspire takes to develop its Fellows into strong leaders in the nonprofit sector- a need that has been clearly demonstrated.
ProInspire does an awesome job to help young professionals make the seamless transition from corporate to the nonprofit. I tried to make the leap on my own and it was incredibly challenging. Not only did I make the transition with the organization but also was placed with an organization was a great fit for my interests, current skills, and areas I want to be challenged in. They are filling the gap in a much needed area. This is an experience that I hope that many more young professionals and first time managers in the the non-profit can have.
ProInspire bridges a surprisingly big gap that is unknown to many - connecting private sector individuals with the non-profit / public sector, whether it's exposure, experience, leadership, or positions. ProInspire has far exceeded my expectations in terms of their mission, how much they believe in and act out what they 'preach' and most of all, the amazing people that I have met / am meeting along the way!
I couldn't be happier to have the opportunity to work with and on behalf of such a wonderful organization. ProInspire provides access to partners, networks and resources that I otherwise would have been ignorant to. Thanks to ProInspire, I am well on my way to learning about and creating opportunities for myself and others in the social sector.
ProInspire truly meets an incredible need by helping talented professionals switch to the nonprofit sector and linking them with impacting non-profits. I would have never found my position if it had not been for ProInspire. It really is building future leaders in this industry!
Thanks to ProInspire I was able to find a nonprofit and a career that I love. I finished my fellowship at Year Up and stayed full-time in a more senior role. I would not have been able to do this without my fellowship year. I was exposed to a distinguished nonprofit and worked in a role that played on my strengths, but was still challenging. Now, managing the Year Up brand in the Bay Area is part of my professional DNA. I found my perfect place in the nonprofit world and I'd recommend this organization to anyone.
When I stumbled upon ProInspire through my own search efforts, I knew this was the organization I wanted to be a part of. As a current fellow I cannot express how grateful I am to ProInspire and how they have given me every resource I need to make my transition into the Social sector as seamless as possible. ProInspire has made one of my dreams come to life and I am so thankful to be a part of this organization.
Many talented college graduates believe that their only choices at graduation are to (1) get paid well, working for a big corporation that's likely to contribute to the social and environmental challenges we face, or (2) have a positive social and environmental impact and live paycheck to paycheck. So they go on the safe side, working for global companies and know there has to be something better out there for them. ProInspire offers that something better! ProInspire provides a vital bridge for emerging leaders to translate their corporate skills into value that mission-driven organizations desperately need to diversify or amplify their impact. I have been continuously impressed with the quality of the ProInspire Fellows I have had the privilege to get to know. I look forward to supporting the growth of ProInspire, which I believe is one of the critical bridge programs for both mission-driven professionals and social sector organizations.
ProInspire provides the perfect avenue for professionals in the private sector looking to get their feet wet in the non-profit world. Navigating this transition can be daunting without the support and guidance offered throughout the program. As a current fellow, I've found the professional development opportunities to be useful not just in my day-to-day role, but also for figuring out what my next steps are overall. The importance of this type of mentorship cannot be understated, especially for many in my generation who are trying to satisfy unique career goals in a difficult job market. Thanks ProInspire!
This innovative nonprofit is the best of the best. It is meeting a real need in the sector and is doing so in a way that benefits the work of organizations while at the sametime growing a new generation of leaders. It operates extremely efficiently with making the best use of each and every dollar.
ProInspire is an organization that provides a true bridge between the private sector and non-profit and public sectors. This organization has given me the chance to see beyond the typical career pathways of my generation. I am currently exploring the educational sector in a finance/business strategy role and I owe this eye-opening opportunity to the ProInspire fellowship. My passion for education was not satisfied in the private sector. ProInspire's selection process and team worked to ensure I was placed with an organization where I could provide an immediate impact and learn, and I am immensely grateful. Beyond, the programmatic structure of the fellowship the ProInspire coaching, mentoring and bonding with members of the cohort has far exceeded my expectations. ProInspire is working tirelessly to build the next non-profit and public sector leaders. I am honored to be a fellow in this organization and share it's goodness!
As a current ProInspire Fellow, I can say that it is challenging to make the transition from the corporate sector to the nonprofit world; however, I am continuously impressed by the resources, support, and opportunites afforded through this program, which have made my experience very rewarding! Through monthly trainings, a personal coach, and a collaborative group of cohorts, I am very happy with the decision to join the ProInspire community. I would highly recommend this Fellowship to any individual looking for an opportunity to create social change through his or her career.
I'm taking part in the ProInspire Fellowship as part of the new expansion to California. The ProInspire fellowship is an amazing program for young professionals looking to transition to the non-profit sector. Everything is done very thoughtfully and with both partner organizations' and fellows' best interests in mind. They find great organizations and roles for fellows to take leadership roles and develop great experience. They have a very diligent process to make sure they find the right fellow for each position as well. While new, the California expansion has been very great thus far led by Gene Kunde and is primed to be very successful and continue to expand in the future.
I can say from personal experience that the ProInspire fellowship truly makes it possible for young professionals to make a successful transition into the social sector. Through the program, I realized that there was a place for me to work in education despite the fact that I'm not a teacher. I'll be graduating from business school this spring and plan to return to the ed sector in a management capacity. I can honestly say I wouldn't be heading down this path without having gone through the ProInspire experience and I'm extremely grateful to Monisha and the team for their support and access.
As a member of the 2012 ProInspire fellowship I am continually surprised by how much ProInspire offers to its fellows. I believe this is due to the passion and care that founder Monisha Kapila brings to the organization. This passion is further echoed by the talented and passionate fellows that Monisha selects on an annual basis. ProInspire has been integral in my transition from the for-profit sector to the non-profit sector and I value the opportunity to surround myself with like-minds and future leaders. So far the experience has been truly unique and the opportunities I have already received do not exist in many – if any – other organizations. From monthly training to networking opportunities ProInspire offers something to anyone interested in transitioning their business acumen to making an immediate impact in the non-profit space.
ProInspire is a special organization, run by a transformational leader. Monisha Kapila and ProInspire open the door for private sector professionals that strive to work in the social sector. I have come across few organizations that support this private to social sector transition, especially with a cohort model dedicated to professional development, while championing business skills for non-profits. I am thankful I got the chance to make this transition and owe this opportunity to the ProInspire community. I am an Inspire Fellow from the Class of 2010 and I highly approve of this organization.
I am a 2012 Proinspire fellow and when I applied I knew this would be an amazing experience. There is something great to be said about an organization that unites like minds, provides career coaching, promotes sector networking , and allots young professionals the opportunitiy to effectively transition their careers to impact the world. Hats off to Monisha for her vision to solve an issue that many young professionals face in this generation!
Fantastic impact across a variety of social sector organizations. I've been astounded by the caliber of the fellows in the program and the kind of impact they make in their organizations. I'm excited to see ProInspire grow in the future.
The ProInspire Fellowship provides its fellows with opportunities to play big roles in impact sector organizations. Combined with its placements with hiring partners and professional development, ProInspire serves as an effective bridge for business professionals crossing over to a career in nonprofit, CSR, or social enterprise management. Over the years, the Fellowship has uniquely positioned itself as a leader in helping experienced professionals discover how their skills can be used towards the greatest good.
I am a ProInspire fellow for the class of 2012. When I entered the program in May, I had high expectations. I wanted to learn and grow in a collaborative environment where I could make a difference in a leading non-profit. Over the last six months, my expectations have been met and exceeded repeatedly. The other fellows in my class constantly challenge me intellectually, and Monisha Kapila, ProInspire's CEO is a coach and mentor that any young professional would dream of having. As for the role I have been placed in, I couldn't imagine a better place to launch my career in the non-profit sector. I am without hesitation in saying the ProInspire has changed my life for the better.
ProInspire has played a transformative role in my life. As a 2011 Inspire Fellow, ProInspire opened doors for me to have a satisfying career in the social sector after spending my early career in financial services. The organization is full of enthusiastic individuals who are dedicated to bringing talent to the social sector. So many organizations renew their commitment to ProInspire year after year - proving that this model works!
The ProInspire fellowship program did indeed change my life by opening the door into the nonprofit sector after I spent a couple years in the private sector. As a result of the relationships I formed with other Inspire Fellows, Board members, the Founder and coworkers at my partner organization, I can now say that my passion for social service and career goals are finally aligned. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in working in the social sector to apply to be an Inspire Fellow or support ProInspire in its mission to recruit and train the next generation of nonprofit leaders.
I was a 2010 ProInspire Fellow and cannot speak more highly of my fellowship experience. ProInspire's monthly professional development workshops and coaching resources were essential to my success at my nonprofit placement. These resources and the support I received from my amazing cohort and nonprofit partner organization allowed me to develop as a leader and gain a deep and rich work experience in the nonprofit sector. I highly recommend this organization.
I was a ProInspire fellow two years ago and loved my experience. I had worked for a few years in a big tech company, and wanted a complete change and a chance to experience the social sector. ProInspire completely delivered: not only did I work for an amazing nonprofit with extremely passionate people, but I also was able to learn and grow personally with a cohort of 10 other people as we all transitioned from for- to non-profit jobs. And let's not forget Monisha, ProInspire's CEO. She works tirelessly for the organization and the fellows, and always had (and still has today!) time to provide 1-1 feedback and advice. While I've since decided to go back into the tech world, I greatly value my ProInspire experience and have a deep respect and admiration for my non-profit colleagues.
I am a proud ProInspire alumna (working at the National 4-H Council, as a part of the 2012 class). ProInspire builds personal and professional bridges between exceptional young leaders from the for-profit sector and non-profit organizations committed to social change. For a ProInspire fellow, they get a great professional experience to take on advanced projects at a non-profit organization for a year, gain a new skill set, develop close relationships with their cohort, and receive best in class professional development training/personalized coaching. For the non-profit organizations, they have the benefit of working with some of the best, brightest and most committed young social leaders. Everyone wins, including the constituents our organizations aim to serve! Through ProInspire, I have developed invaluable relationships, found a pathway for a meaningful career in the non-profit sector, and grown as a leader committed to social change.
I have the great pleasure of being both a beneficiary and a Board member of ProInspire. When I decided to make a shift in my career to use my business education and experience to create social value, the ProInspire Fellowship was exactly what I needed. ProInspire helped me find a role in the social sector that was a good match for my skillset and turned out to be an incredible learning experience. Three years later, I am very happy with my move into the social sector, and I can say that I wouldn't have achieved this success without ProInspire. I truly believe in the organization and have recently joined the Board of Directors to support our mission even more closely.
