Mission: The port townsend marine science center inspires conservation of the salish sea.
Programs: The port townsend marine science center (ptmsc) engaged with 22,701 people through its public exhibits and education programs during 2017 (6,652 people in educational programs and 16,151). 380 volunteers were supported in roles such as docents, educational assistants. Beach clean-up voluntters, and citizen scientists. Ptmsc hosted a record number of summer campers (150), produced a lecture series (5 lectures), and partnered on wildlife crises (11 trips). Ptmsc provided over 61,000 in free or reduced cost educational programming for students and families.
