Pop Smoke what a great nonprofit. We train service dogs for Veterans like myself with ptsd. I truly enjoy volunteering my time with the dogs and most importantly spending time with the people with in pop smoke. It takes a lot to get these dogs trained and paired up with the right veteran of need. It’s a great cause and no one gets a paycheck. Only payment we receive is seeing the happiness in our veterans faces once they receive their service dog. Semper Fi

My late husband's service dog, Molly, was trained by Perkins of Pop Smoke K9 for Veterans.
Molly was a life saver to him and me. She would locate and bring him his cane, press handicap buttons for access into the hospital or stores, pick up his napkin when it slid to the floor and pick up other items he dropped. Molly was also trained to alert me when he became disoriented or attempted to leave the house. Perkins trains one on one in a quiet safe environment which is what my husband needed. Through educational programs, outreach events, and public
demonstrations, Pop Smoke K9 for Veterans is able to engage with the community and promote understanding and empathy for our veterans and their unique
needs.

Pop Smoke K9 for Veterans is a 501.c3 non profit that helps stop veteran suicide by providing veterans with a well trained service dog to help them live a more productive life after the military. Pop Smoke trains service dogs for the individual needs of the veteran by working together with the veteran & dog to form a cohesive bond & trust. They offer a support system for both the veteran & the family. They offer a board & train kennel staffed by veterans. This is a volunteer organization & No-one receives a salary. All money goes to training the service dog to meet the veteran's needs.
